Received a boat load of calls from 775-322-0444 over the past week. Friendly person left a message asking me to call her back at a number

they call 5 times a day and only give me a name and number to call. I refuse to call back because if they cant tell be where they are calling from or what they are calling about then they need to get over it.

These people call several times a day.  They are a debt collector for old debts evidently.  The person they are looking is not me.  I have told them this and they still call.  I recently found out they have an 800 number.  It is 800-824-6191 call them constantly and let them know that the person they want is not at your phone number.  Keep calling so they can take your number off their list.

My story is nearly identical to Michael P. above, except they've got additional numbers they use to call once you've blocked them.Their robot says they are trying to contact "Claudette Dead," or "Claudette Debt."  Honestly, I can't make out the last name, it definitely sounds like "Debt" or "Dead," and it wouldn't surprise me if it were a fake name they use to phish for other people's information.

These goofballs are calling our house all hours of the day and night. We have told them repeatedly they have the wrong name and/or person but they just keep calling ... it is really annoying at this point.

These people call 2 or 3 times a week and sometimes late at night and weekends. They are looking for Anitra Hicks (whose name is very close to mine). I believe they looked my her number up online and the 'closest' match was mine. There is one letter off in our names. I called back and explained that this wasn't me and asked how they got my number. They're response was that 'Anitra' was giving it out. I don't believe this. I asked the last four digits of 'Anitra's' soc. and it wasn't mine. She said they would remove the number, but continue to call.

Debt Collector does not reconized statue of Limitations on unsecured debt. Statue is five years beyond Alabama Statue.

I have received an automated call from this # and when I tried to talk to an agent, because I have no debts, they hung up on me.

This company is very rude and lied about what laws and right protect consumers such as myself they stated they would report for 7 years even though they are not required by law but will not give me a letter stating why

I've lost count on how many times someone from this number has called my home and asked for someone who doesn't live at my residence. I pressed "2" (if you're not this person, press 2) hoping to get some answers, and a woman comes online with "How can I help you?" My reply was I don't know... you called me... what do you want? Her reply was "we're looking for XXX. Is he available?" I don't know this person, you moron! I wonder how much money these people get paid to annoy innocent people who become so enraged they become seriously rude. Not answering the phone doesn't work. Being nice and asking them to please stop calling doesn't work. So it's time to bring in Angry Person from Hell. At least I feel better when I slam the phone down to hang up.

You should've offered your checking account number and a scan of your signature while you were at it :D

Received my first call from this number on my mobile last week.  Of course, the caller ID said that it was coming from outside of my area code, but I am a real estate agent and pretty much need to answer everything that comes in. Upon answering the call, I get a pre-recorded message asking for me.  I am instructed to press "1" if I am the person they are asking for and to press "2" if I were not the person.  I reluctantly press the appropriate key and after a brief hold, I was patched to some lady who seemed to have no idea who I was or what they wanted with me. She said that the only way to verify that I had an "account" with them was to provide them with my SSN.  (umm no, I am not that crazy). She said that they were a collection agency.  I have since programmed the number into my phone and selected "no ring" option.  They have called me twice today.

Same complaint as Bill, I've owned my number going on 4 years and still get calls for the prior owner of my number. No matter how much I try to tell them I own the number now, they still insist on calling.

I think a debt collector, they are looking for someone not living at my house and it is really irritating us!! This isn't the first time they have called!! These people try to collect on debts they paid pennies to obtain and think harassment on debts that are 20-30 years old is legal.

They have called me several times and this is the 3rd different number from the same company. I do not know what to do to stop them from calling me. It is ridiculous!

They call on a daily basis at least twice a day and leaving a voice message. It's very annoying. This constitutes harassment and they need to review the federal rules under the FDCPA.

Bobby, you're my hero! They've been calling us for months, several times a day leaving messages for someone we've never heard of. I called the 800 number just now and a polite young man verified my phone number and the name of the person they were trying to reach. I said we've had this number for several years and we've never heard of this person. He apologized and said he'd take our number off the list. Hopefully we'll have some peace around here now. This number called 3 times in the last 24 hours. They are looking for someone named Derrick Taylor. I spoke to a girl and told her that there is no one here by that name. She asked if I knew who he is and I told her no and we get calls for him all the time. We moved and had our number changed to this one in July.
