My ***her was to have been awarded $330,00 from a Garvey Limited in Lewisville, Texas. A contact person was Kevin Bachmann and the letter was written by a Zimmer Steinheimer. The company issued a check for $1988 to my ***her. He was then to write a check for $1400 or thereabouts in order to cover the "processing" fee to get the $330,00. When I looked online there is a Garvey Homes Limited with the same address that was on the letter sent to my 89 year old ***her. I called the phone number 1-778-859-1737 and no one answered. This is a scam for sure...the elderly put the $1988 check in the bank, write the $1400 check to them and then they stop their initial payment and the check bounces and then the old folks owe that amount to their bank! How low can people be? My ***her only gets his social security and veterans stipend and I give him $400 a month to get by. This makes me SO anfry~~~
