This number called my phone today, and left a voice message saying "this page can not be displayed" lol
I recieved a call from this # at my work, I picked it up and it was my husband calling from my home #, which is thru Shaw and also usually shows up as Private or Anonmyous. This is very weird. My hubby thought we were being listened in on.
And we were both in Edmonton at the time
I got a call from this number from my Mom. I asked her to **** up and call me back and it came up as her number afterwards. I dont know why but it must be some glitch in the system.
(780) 429-1077 - - - - I don't think this is a telemarketer or 's****ed' number. This exact same number appeared on my cellphone call display today (June 4, 2010). I answered it.......It was my boss!! I asked if he was phoning from Edmonton (where I am) he said no "I'm phoning from Edson." Now I do know our cellphone service (Telus) has a special roaming plan for long distance calls. Maybe certain long distance calls goes through this number??
I came home yes****ay to find this number on my call display also.I too called the number back and found that it was out of service.I believe the phone number has been "s****ed" (faked out).Scam artists regularly engage in practices like this in order to avoid being identified.Immediately after receiving a call like this you could dial *57 (call trace) and have TELUS (your phone company) trace where the call REALLY originated from. You could then file a police report if you believe that the caller is trying to commit fraud (scam you). TELUS will only release the results of a call trace to the police if you have filed a police report.I would also complain to TELUS (I've done it repeatedly) about HOW you can be receiving a call with S****ED caller id information - i.e. HOW they allow such a call to traverse their network. It seems to me that we all pay extra for our Call Display services; the least that TELUS (or other phone companies) could do is ensure that the information displayed is accurate. I think TELUS itself should block / presvent a s****ed call from getting through to a customer's telephone. The whole situation is absurd at present.
called and ask my cell phone number. he knew my first name and unfortunately my wife thought he is one of my friend and gave him the number!
This number repeated calls my cell phone. I call the # back, it says it is not in service. How can this be??? I am going to report this to Telus.
