This number is a "Front" for an out of state Debt Collection Agency. They want to use a local number since they do NOT have any actual offices located on *****chusetts soil and could be held liable for conducting business without a proper license. Furthermore they are trying to impose collection efforts on Federal Student Loan debt in spite of a Presidential Executive Order that has put such efforts on hold until May of 2021. This is an illegal tactic and perhaps a "scam" they are trying to pull.
