same call for me - only when I hit 1 the live operator ***G UP ON ME when I thold him I was on the do not call list.
Hmmm, really weird, about a week before I s****ed receiving calls from 775 412-4499, I also got a call from a scammer offering a reduction in my interest rate on my Visa cards. When I pressed them for more info, & refused to give my credit card #'s, telling them if they represented my card company they should have them, they ***g up. Now I'm receiving collection calls incessantly re: an old, paid Finger Hut account that originated because someone stole my identy years ago. When I asked for proof I was told I had to obtain it myself from my credit report, & if I hadn't w/in the 3 yr. (WA SOL) period it was my problem. They further claim they've sent me numerous letters when I've received nothing. As far as I know, they're breaking numerous laws & know they are. The problem is they can report whatever they want to the credit reporting agencies & it becomes our responsibility to have it removed. It's nothing short of extortion. I really think we need a law requiring the reporting agencies (Equifax, etc.) to require proof that a bill is legitimate before it can be added to a credit report. Does anyone agree or have another solution? It seems that these two companies could be related based on the above complaints?
I received a call from 786-336-8148 asking to reduce my 'interest rates'. Since I didn't know if they were referring to mortgage, car loan, credit card, etc, I questioned the person and asked where they were calling from. They gave no specific name. I then asked the woman to 'tell me about how I can save money'. She called me some very 'colorful' names and ***g up. I called the number back, but as everyone else, the number shows it has been disconnected. PLEASE do not give any information to these people
grrr. phone rings. miami, fl caller ID. recorded voice. "Don't be alarmed! This is your final notice!! Press 1 to speak to your account manager!!"so I push 1 and leave it on speaker during really loud annoying guitar musicfinally somebody answers, says so****ing not in English, and ****s up
Just another credit card scam call.
called my cell, tried to call back and the recording said it was disconnected or no longer in service
They called my cell. Number must have been gavered either from a job submittal site or tracking the number I use when I used an international calling discount card.
A pre-recorded pitch from "Heather" with a last offer to reduce my card rates. Ha! How annoying. Disconnect, do not select option 1 or 2 as it's probably their way of tagging****ential call backs.
the exact same thing just happened to me as above. i responded in the same way for the same reasons as well. now what?
786-336-8148 called initially saying so****ing about my credit cards being over due and that they were offering a 6% reduced rate credit card. They said to press 1 to talk to a live person and to press 2 to discontinue receiving calls. it was a bogus prerecorded message...I only pressed 1 to tell a live person not to call me any more as I am on the NTL DO NOT CALL LIST...BUT IT NEVER WENT THROUGH TO ANYONEItook the number off my caller ID and called it back.Recording says it is a number no longer in service or a wrong number~
Wasn't home; left no message. Called around 2PM.
