Threatening jail if I don't call back about my tax filings. From Puerto Rico. Blocked it.

THIS # KEEPS ON CALLING AND LEAVING MESSAGES SAYING I HAVE 24 HOURS, & THAT THERE ARE FOUR SERIOUS ALLEGATIONS A***NST ME! AND THAT I WILL BE ARRESTED BY THE LOCAL POLICE!! SCAM SCAM SCAM!

I got a similar call couple of months ago and I read somewhere that they have been caught, I have not received any calls after that. So i thought their scam is over and done. Surprisingly I got the call today a***n, probably investigation authorities needs spend more attention on these.

Computer-voiced recorded message claiming to be from the IRS investigation unit and gave me 24 business hours to call back and resolve 4 issues a***nst me from the IRS for tax problems. If I don't call threatened to send local cops after me. The message was obviously scripted by someone who is unfamiliar with the English language, the legal system, police departments, and the IRS.

lol!!! Why would the IRS call from Puerto Rico???? Poor execution on their part. Confirmed on several other sites - this apparently s****ed today. New scam - Request you to call them back - same # (weird) - or 4 local authorities will be notified to come get you, basically.

Recorded message states (in non-American English) that there are 4 serious allegations a***nst you for tax fraud, and requests a call back before you are taken into custody by the local police.

same as above. the english is not american english by the way they say 'gets expired.' also cuts off at the beginning like described above and message abut 4 serious allegations is same too.

Voicemail robotic, recording cuts the beginning off but says to call or legal action will begin immediately. Calling the number back, quick busy signal.

They message that they are calling from IRS and you need to too call them back within 24 working hours before they have you arrested.
