Received call from 1-800-215-1921. It is a number for capital one fraud department. I called Capital One back on a different number to confirm, because the call sounded a little fishy and they asked for personal information (my address). They confirmed that at least in this instance, it was them.

Called me 2/23/2016 @ 8:02am. This number found a way around my answering ma****e. It is set up to answer after four rings. This number rang around twenty times. I never answered it.

It is a legitimate Capital One phone number (http://www.yelp.com/biz/capital-one-credit-salt-lake-city) however, if someone called you from this number – it was probably a S****ing scam! S****ing is an act that shows a different phone number then the one the s****er called from (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caller_ID_s****ing). Never take for granted that the number you see on your phone is the number someone called from. Even if you think they’re legit – **** up and call them back. If you gave out any information to someone who “called” from this number – you’ve probably been victimized a***n.

I was called by this number on Monday afternoon, 9/15/2014. The caller said it was Capital One calling about "Feedback" they'd received from me. I said I didn't remember sending any feedback. Then the caller said, "Let's get s****ed. May I have your date of birth?" I said, "I don't remember this [giving feedback] at all. The male caller didn't ask anything else. He said, "Remember we are here 24 hours a day." This all seemed very su****ious to me. Why would they need my birth date to discuss feedback I sent? Since I don't remember sending any feedback, why would I care that they "are there 24 hours a day?"

Got called from this number and called the number on the reverse of my CapOne card. Was told no one from CapOne called me and this was NOT one of their numbers. Definitely a scam!

Hmmm it's legit cause I filed a claim for fraud last week and this number now calling me. Did leave one message. I wish they wouldn't just call and not leave mssg's I think that contributes to people thinking its a scam or spam.

This is a legitimate number for Capital One fraud dept. They work out of Costa Rica.I know this because they called me when someone illegally used my account. If they are calling you, you may have problems.

It is Capital One's (****py) fraud department. Called this number several times, and they called me back three times. It is legit. If you've dealt with Capital One before, you know that each office has no idea what the other is doing.

Not capital one. Dont fall for this. Call the number on the back of your card. Cap one says this is not their number and thanked me for ONLY calling the number on my card when I deal with them. Ppl pisting that this is legit are either idiots or are the****holes trying to steal your card number.

Almost every bank outsources its fraud department, you tool.  It is a legit Capital One number.  This is not up for debate.  It is the number published on their website and it is the number given to you if you file a fraud claim.Also, if you had half a ***in, you'd know that banks have literally tens of thousands of phone numbers and a customer service rep in ****alore making 60 cents per hour has no idea what all of them are and probably wouldn't even be able to transfer you to the fraud department if you asked them to.

Received call saying it was capital one fraud department. They said to call 1-800-215-1921 back. I called and the back ground noise did not sound right so I call capital one number on the back of the card. They said it was not one of their numbers. The caller ID shows the call came from 1-800-955-7070.

This number is a legitimate capital one number.  Call the number on the back of your card and speak to a representative.  They will confirm that this number is for their fraud department.  Don't let these posts freak you out (as they did me).  Just call the number on the back of your card and you cvan find out for yourself.

i got the call from 18002151921 and when i called back got voicemail that asked me to leave a detailed message including my credit card number...  RED FLAG!!!  i just called capital one.  it is NOT their number.  those of you saying it is are probably part of the scam!!!  capital one's real fraud number is 18002397054.  call the number on the back of your card and get transferred to the fraud dep't.  18002397054 is the number they give you.

I called the number on the back of my card and they gave me the fraud department phone number, who told me that this number is the number for fraud applications.  I had a mini-freak out episode until I finally got through to someone.  It's a legitimate number.The caller ID says Signet Bank, but they had me call this phone number back. http://www.business.com/directory/financial_s ... ration/profile/

Capital One claims that this is not their number. I have been contacted by this number and a recorded voice begins phishing for iden***y information and leaves callback numbers.
