I received a message today from "Fred" at my home number, (909-650-9107 on the caller ID) but he left 800-216-7240 as a call back number, he offered to upgrade, etc, etc.  Called them back from my cell phone and "Keith" said.."I am showing from your number that you received a call from "Fred" regarding our upgrade service (let me know right away this was a scam since they did not call my cell phone).  After 3-4 minutes of me badgering him I was given this website to ensure my number was taken off of their call list- www.removenumbers.comThey claim to work for Dish Network however when I call Dish they have no idea who "Fred" is.

Fred called and left a message on my work phone.  Last week I made an inquiry to Direct-TV.  Now I see why they needed my phone numbers.

call from fred today for free upgrade and install IDcityterm sounded new or very nervous person.  Id #18005622898196  he left different # to return call 18002167240.  Leave me alone PLEASE.

Fred called and said I'm up for a free satellite upgrade, system and boxes included ....... for all 5 televisions - guess what - I have 2.....Watch out - Fred is bogus and dishonest.  He is not affilliated with Direct TV, DISH or AAT&T..... Don't give him any of your personal information!  SHAME ON YOU FRED TRYING TO HURT HARD WORKING PEOPLE.  ONE DAY SOMEONE WILL SCAM YOU RIGHT BACK!!

Same thing ... long message from Fred and I too thought it was about a satellite upgrade and the recording all five televisions was why I thought it was legit because I have 5 televisions.  And, yes, I got this call on my work telephone number.  I was ready to pass this message on to my husband who make the television decisions, but after reading all the other messages, I think I'll just DELETE!!!  Thanks everyone

Same here.  I called the number back and no one answered.  The strange thing was he said he would upgrade my 5 receivers. This made me wonder if Direct TV released my personal information to telemarketers.  Best thing to do is ignore the calls from this number. Scam!!!!!! What happened to the good ole honest business people.  You wonder what m****s were taught growing up!

Same as above, very unprofessional Fred, sounds like a scammer of some sort because he uses lots of "uh"s in his message,  I wouldn't give him any sort of info. He called from 15622898170 and 15622899196.  Probably a robo call since he didn't recognize the same voicemail box within a few minutes of each other. Posing as a satellite upgrade offer

Fred calls me 2-3 times per day. I dial one and are always ***g up on by the person on the other end. When I call back, it goes to a message service. ****S!!!

Fred called 7/31/08 to leave an absurdly long message about swit****g service.Then when I called the 800 number back to ask to be removed from their calling list, I was ***g up on.  VERY PROFESSIONAL
