Same here. They say I owe them "from an open account" and they can not prove anything, and say 2003! 7 years ago? How? Where? I am filing a report with the Federal Trade Comm www.ftc.org. That usually stops everything! I have never received a mailing to tell them legally to STOP, which is what you need to do. They avoid mailings because then you can take legal action! Florida
I am having the same problem as *****, as Affiliated Acceptance leaves the very same message on my ma****e every two or three days, even though I have NO account with them.
Identified themselves on their message as Affiliated Acceptance Corp. and needs to speak to me regarding my open account. I don't have an account with them. First it was Camco (another scam collection company), then another scam company called for a while, now this one. Why haven't these people been stopped? Caller ID shows 1-800-233-8485 but says to call 800-233-****.
