Looking for a previous owner of my cell phone. For 6 months now even though they have been informed that the person they're looking for isn't at this number

For 6 Months now these people have been calling looking for a different individual who used to own our cell phone number.  They won't take 'that person doesn't own this phone' for an answer

I have been getting calls from this number for about three months now continuously. It is a scam!

I Googled this phone number and as it turns out this is a number belonging to a company called "American Reading Club." I had some unauthorized charges on my checking account through my debit card number. I called my bank and cancelled the card and had the charges removed. I am now getting phone calls saying asking me to have my attorney call their offices in regards to case number -insert random number here - and that it is a possible criminal case. I can't contact them when they call because it's a cell phone number and I don't have coverage where I work. I don't even know how they got my phone number! After sear****g a little, I've found numerous complaints a***nst this company. I'm just going to ignore them and let my bank deal with them.

someone called my on my job and told my supervisor that its a fraud case, isnt it illegal to call my job and to tell them that? Isnt that defamation? the same people left a number 800 242-5548
