Leave a CommentI also got "the call". several times during last week. They said because I had recently made a purchase on a VISA card (they had the last four numbers of my card and its expiration date) they were offering me a $50.00 AMEX debit card. They had my address, etc and said they would send "the package" right out. All I had to do was look over the material. I insisted I did not want the offer and the caller repeated "so you don't want to support the troups" every time I declined the offer. I called VISA and requested a new card.
I got a call on Ph. 1-800-264-1541 today 01/25/2008 Friday @ 11:13 from a man and asked me I am Romeo. said Yes then he ****s up. I dialed the number couple of times, it answers... at a tone pls begin to record, when finished, pls enter pound on your touch tone telephone. "I am hoping that who ever is responsible on this they will get caught and serve a court sentence".
Keeps calling multiple times a day.****s up when you answer
go to the federal trade commission web site ftt.com and look at a recent story 11/21/07 concerning K.T. He is not supposed to be doing business naymore. to file complaint call 1/877/382/4357 or click www.ftc.gov/ftc/complaint.shtm
I have received 45 calls from this number in the last 2 days.
I have been receiving the same calls for about 3 days now. They don't talk, they don't leave a message, anything. If you call the number back to see who it is it just says leave a message. They won't talk to me though.
I have been receiving the same calls from the same people asking for the same information. I was ****** and actualy verified everything. Until they put in the $3.95 fee. Then I said NO and I was not interested. I appreciate everyone's comments and will definately be calling my credit card company's to let them no and get new cards. Thanks everyone!
These people called at least 7 times in one day. They didn't leave a message. If I don't recognize the number, or am not expecting a call, I allow my ma****e to answer. They kept calling and not leaving a message up until about 9 pm. I expect the same today. I would suggest that if a caller, paricularly commercial calls, can't leave a who, what, when, why and where message should be restricted by the FCC as to the number of calls they can make to a particular phone number.
**** YOURSELF!!!!
The entire url didn't make it into the posting, here it is a***n:http://www.crimes-of-persuasion.com/Crimes/Te ... verseas_ops.htm
Interesting info I found at: http://www.crimes-of-persuasion.com/Crimes/Te ... verseas_ops.htmI've just been called twice by these clowns...****ociated individual: John Montana Trident InternationalSuite 220788 Corporate Centre141 Valero StreetSalcedo VillageMakatiManilaPHILIPPINES
called asked if i had visa i said yeah..... and ***g up .. they called 3 times earlier in the day ... i called back and got an answering ma****e.... which when i called back, they ***g up
Received same type of call today telling me that they worked with a vendor I recently made an online purchase with and they worked for Trident tried to give us a free $25 visa gift card. They verified my mailing address and the last four of my debit card. The lady was extrememly persistant and talked over me while I tried to tell her no thnaks many times. Finally I said a***n No and this is me telling you to have a nice day and ***g up. I called the 800 numvber back and received an answering ma****e with no company name or anything, it was fishy! So I called the company that I recently made an online purchase with and asked what information they give out. They don't even give out phone numbers or email address...no info what so ever. Then I called my bank, had the card cancelled. This is ridiculous! DO NOT VERIFY ANY INFORMATION, address, name or credit card info!!
These people are rip off artists. They will not tell me how they got the last few digits of my credit card number. I ****ed that card and filed a fraud alert on it and the people who called me. Do not let this **** go on. Report it to your local police and to the FTC. We have got to stop this ****!!!!!!I want these people put in jail!!!!
I had pretty much the same experience. The caller identified himself as a representative of Trident (or Triton) International and said that I had won a free American Express card worth 25$ if I would only confirm my address. I told him that he should obviously have my address, since he was calling me, and he read me an address that was close to mine, but not exact. I'm not sure if he had the correct address and just could not*****ounce it right or not. I refused to confirm anything and asked where he got my information. He said I had purchased so****ing from a merchant that they were****ociated with, but would not tell me the merchant's name. After I questioned him numerous times and refused to answer any of his questions, he said "thank you" and quickly ***g up.
They identified themselves as Trident International and they were trying to sell me an American Express card telling me I could get $25 free,no strings. Right!!!!Then they tried the Patriotic bit about how they were going to do so****ing for the service men if I would promise to look over their stuff. I told them NO!! and then he mentioned so****ing about a $3.95 service charge. Mostly I was upset because he had the last four digits of our credit card and our address. He could not tell me where he got that information.
