(800) 267-4196 is the direct access line for the fraud department at FIA Card Services, NA.  FIA Card Services handles many "private label" Visa and MasterCard credit cards including those by major retailers and brokerage houses.  I have had occasion to deal with them a couple of times and they are strictly legitimate and very professional.You should never give any legitimate caller more than the minimum information to establish your iden***y.

They left us a msg as well, stating that we had "su****ious activity" on our card.  When I called them back they answered "Bank Card Services".  I asked which bank they represented and they proceded to ignore my question and kept asking me for my credit card number.  I asked how I would know if they were legitimate or not w/out this info.  They became annoyed w/ me and ended the call by ****ing up on me.  DO NOT give them your credit card info - this is a SCAM!!!

I answered the phone for my elderly mother and was told the call was to "verify credid card charges". Since she was not available I was given a number to call back. Upon calling back the person answering stated, "Bank Card Services". When I asked what company they said, "It depends, did you use your credid card recently" I said "no". They then said to disregard the call. I suspect they would have tried to get me to tell them my credid card number and get access to the account. I called the Attorney Generals Office and will report it to Consumer Protection tomorrow.
