Calling this number 800-280-0426 is the worst thing i did today. i called to inquire on a craiglist ad about house for rent/ rent to own. believed it or not-- they want your credit card information and or bank information right away. This should be investigated by authorities since it looks like a ascam.
I called this number that was on a craigslist post for taking over payments on a pre-foreclosure home. They want $199 to send you a list of homes about to go into foreclosure. Then you find a house you want and they will do a ***le search. In the end, it sounded like a lot of work and/or a scam to me.
