Leave a CommentThis company is a royal spammer! Working as an illegitimate collection agency pursuing fraudulent inaccurate accounts. I have received multiple statements from Central Portfolio Control regarding a ******* up medical bill. In each statement, the dollar amount keeps going up. This company is a fraud, a spammer, and an illegitimate collection agency

NCO student loan collection.Apparently these "classy" well-trained, guard dogs, will bark up the wrong tree.My uncle has a student loan from 20 years ago. Im the lucky chap that has the same name as my dead beat uncle. So "John davis" the collector thinks i'm lieing... He thinks im just denying that Im my uncle. WE HAVE THE SAME FREAKEN NAME!!! Anyways... These guys will call and call until a person might need therapy. I CANT SLEEP WITH OUT THEM CALLING. So i decided to help my uncle take care of this matter for good. Of course my recommendation and any professional will tell you "Its always best to make payments!" but its always best to know your options before negotiating with these "Classy" Collectors. Heres a website I found that some "Student Loan collector" Made... He spills the beans....http://www.studentloanfundamentals.com/blog/Hes a collector so i still hate him, but personally I think this is the first time some one actually came out the laid out the rules on the table. Its a mystery as to why this type of thing isn't more accessible.
I keep getting mesaages to call this number - they never say WHO they are, and I am NOT calling them back!
Caller says they have a very important message for **** *******. If you talk to them they claim to be collecting a debt. Obvious that they are running a scam.
I have received at least two calls from this number at work. In both cases, a recorded message said "We have an important message for you. Please call us at 800-280-1565." The message repeats at least three times.
800-280-1565I have taken this information from a client's collection letter:This is listed as Central Portfolio Control, Inc. 6640 Shady Oak Road, Suite 300, Eden Prairie, MN 55344-7710. They are a collection agency. They buy numerous accounts from different sources. The signature on the collection letter I have in front of me is Bryan O'Toole. The letter says that the collection agency is licensed by the Collection Service Board, State Department of Commerce and Insurance, 500 James Robertson Parkway, Nashville, TN 37243. Look up the Fair Debt Collections Act. http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/credit/cre27.pdf It tells how to stop collections and where to report it - do***entation to keep and collect once you have told them to stop harassing you at work, etc. good luck.NEVER work out settlements without getting the offer in writing FIRST before sending any money.
they keep calling for somebody I have never heard of. At least their dialer does. Too funny they think someone owing them money is going to call them back. Anyway, it is way bothersome having the phone ring time and time a***n only to see it is this dialer
This number is from a collection or debt agency that has the name s****ing with Central Recovery. The handle accounts such as Kay Jewelers. They are not nice people.
