Leave a CommentIf you think this fish stinks, you are right. Caveat Emptor. The following exerpt from the TusconCitizen.com reports a BBB consumer alert, dated Feb 22, 2010: http://tucsoncitizen.com/bbbconsumeralert/tag/thompson-fuller/Twitter has suspended TF (twitter.com/thompsonfuller_): Hold up! Sorry, the profile you were trying to view has been suspended due to strange activity.Note there are a c****er of other double name companies (probably the same group with multiple names) that are also spreading the same scam: Patterson Bell Sutton Perry Sullivan Lang Swanson Carr Richardson Blake Hoffman Sims"Better Business Bureau of Southern Arizona is alerting consumers to Patterson Bell, Sutton Perry, Sullivan Lang, Swanson Carr, Thompson Fuller, Richardson Blake, and Hoffman Sims, self proclaimed “Awards Redemption” agencies mailing letters to local consumers that state the recipient has qualified for airline tickets.Since Dec. 10, BBB has received over 30 inquiries about Patterson Bell from consumers seeking to determine if the offer is legitimate. Consumers who spoke to BBB said they had no recollection of ever entering a sweepstakes or contest for the airline tickets.Consumers say the letter states that they have qualified for an “award” of two airline tickets that have a retail value of $1,400. The letter claims that Patterson Bell has attempted to contact the consumer multiple times and if the consumer does not contact them by a specific date the airline tickets will be given to an alternate recipient.
Looks like mail fraud to me. I went on USPS to report it.
We got this letter today too. Glad I found this post. Seemed fishy to me!!
I'm glad I found this post. I just received this letter in the mail, and it is dated February 15th, 2010. My husband wanted me to call the number just to see if it was for real, since these people obviously already have my full name, phone # and mailing address. Now I'm definitely not going to call. They tried to call me every day for 6 weeks (and sometimes 2 or 3 times a day). Once the calls stopped I got this same letter in the mail, giving me 10 days to respond or else "we may need to issue the ticket vouchers to the alternate". Same exact letter as described above, informing me that I have "qualified for an award of 2 roundtrip airline tickets. Congratulations."Also, the phone number listed on my letter is (800) 285-3441.
got the same letter, dated the 15th, everything reads the same except for the code after the web address."there's a ****er born every minute..."
The letter I got had no postmark. Thanks for the free stamp, Heidi!
I just recieved the same letter the website is carefully crafted to say a great deal about nothing at all.Real legirt companies have a ver clear message to the customer. THEY HAVE NONE! It feels, smells and looks just like a scam. Scammers are more despaerate than ever and have all- day to invent people like Heidi.I looked the registration number which is not what they printed (Seller of Travel #") Instead of regisatration numberRegistration # Name Contact Phone TCRC Fund(1) Registration Expiration Date Location DBA 2098903 Del Rey Travel Andrea Daily (661) 255-5300 Yes(1) 12/2/2010 Locations DBAs
My ***her received this letter dated Feb. 15 also. Thompson Fuller appears to be a scam. I wouldn't want anyone to be swindled by these people so stay away. -Thompson Fuller Scam Letter Airline Tickets Award
I just talked to a gentleman at the number and they said that they are a travel agency. Smells really fishy, no return address. They are trying to take money for sure.
Yep, same letter here, dated Feb. 15. Hand addressed envelope with no return address and P***nix, AZ postmark 17 Feb 2010.It's going straight into the recycle bin.
My husband received the same letter today date February 15th.....what a scam.
Yep Got the same letter with a date of 15 Feb. Thanks for sharing yours
haha! Y Boston? Same ole same ole, Rosemary in Melrose, thanks for this post otherwise I may have gone to their website where they're most likely phishing for zombies (computer IP that they can use for nefarious activities) I'm sure they love getting your credit card info., too

I got the same letter. It has scam written all over it!
Received same letter:"Dear ****,I am please to inform you that you have qualified for an award of 2 roundtrip airline tickets. Congratulations. These tickets are valid for travel anywhere in the Continental U.S. The retail value of the award is up to $1,400.00. Certain restrictions apply. We have attempted contacting you several times without success. This is our last attempt. If we do not hear from you soon, we may need to issue the ticket vouchers to the alternate. Please call me today (800) 285-3685.Regards,Heidi MillerVice PresidentTravel Awards DivisionNew York - Arizona - New Jersey - Boston - Delaware - Texas - South Carolina - [email protected] - www.thompsonfuller.com - AA-99227"Just a FYI but the domain was first registered 1/25/10 by GoDaddy.com. There is no address listed with the registration. It is registered through a proxy. Also, odd that Boston is the only city listed at the bottom of the letter, the rest are states.Called number told that Heidi would not be back in until late next week but Dave ***** at 1-866-981-5904 could help. They try to sign you up to visit a local travel agency near you. Open House in show room, book 90 min presentation. No obligation show you materials on cruises and hotels, wholesale pricing. Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat Sun. Vouchers 1 year limit, stay over three nights no longer than 30 nights. Blackout dates, within 7+/- days of federal holiday. Tickets may include stop overs. Within 26 largest airports only, 5 A international airports. They state this is not a travel club or time shares. Not sure how they can make any money giving every couple that visits 2 tickets worth $700 each. Feels like a scam. Not listed with any BBB that I could find.
I got one today as well. No information on Thompson and Fuller either. Website is very ***ue. Odd. I wonder what the deal is.
I received a similar letter dated February 8th ,2010 , in the mail today. I thought I would do an internet search and found this post.I agree that it sounds su****ious. The website is very ***ue and there is no physical address listed
Thanks, Francis. I got the same letter from Heidi Miller. There isn't much info on Thompson Fuller, but I had a ***ch it was a scam.
I received a letter on letterhead from Thompson Fuller, signed by a VP Heidi Miller. The letter promised me free airline tickets. The person that answered said she'd just stepped out. When I read back the code at the bottom of the letter, this person knew my home address and full name.Basically, I had to pay "no more than $50" for taxes on airlines tickets I had allegedly won. I never got an answer about the promotion I had signed up for.If the free airlines tickets were real, the person who answered would not have been so insistent on my not ****ing up after I said I wasn't interested.Anyone can set up a website to make it appear professional and anyone can print out nice letterhead.I would stay away from this "award" company.
