Left a message saying they were from US Air Mastercard fraud detection. I called the number on the card and verified there was a fraudulent charge on my account.

Legitimate call from US Airways Mastercard to confirm a recent transaction made with the card. Call back with case number given in message and they request a yes or no answer on whether the described transaction was valid. Like Eric below, I have had several of these calls when buying tickets on Turkish Airways, buying miles, and buying an AC service contract. They call both my cell and my home phone if they fail to reach me.

Received a message via phone to call this number for****ential Fraud on my Master Card. I didn't call this number, but called the # on the back of my card. Mastercard verified that it was a valid call and number originating from them.

Received a notice that there was a fraud activity on my account I called this number but they were unable to provide accurate details of my account. I notified US AirWays Mastercard of this activity.

I have received calls from this number for a large duration of today (01/05/2010). I'm making a stubborn effort to not pick up, but it's really getting annoying.

I get these occasionally, and it's immediately after making a transaction on my US Airways Mastercard. It's the fraud detection unit wanting to confirm the transaction recently made is valid and not a fraudulent charge. Happened when buying airline miles online, also happened when buying Turkish Airways tickets on the THY website. If you don't call back, or you don't call the number on the back of your credit card, its use may be restricted until you do call in to confirm or deny the charge.

keeps calling with no one on the line when picked up. when unanswered call goes to answering ma****e we get a recorded message saying it is US Air credit card fraud detection but the call back number they leave disconnects on you.

Called in asking me to call them back to verify certain transactions on my credit card. Seems scary as no one would talk and no option to speak with a rep.

claimed us airways mastercard fraud department and claimed need to call this number and speak with representative but the actual us airways master card fraud phone number is different.
