Leave a CommentHas continually called for many months even after I've asked them to remove my number from their list. I just received my second call of the day, and I asked to speak with a supervisor. When the second party came on the line, they wanted personal information that I don't give out to unknows. BEWARE!!! It is obviously a scam.
This number s****s calling at 8:30am most of the time It says.. "I have an Important message for this number"...Then nothing else is said.. I've really gotten frustrated the last few times it called, I picked it up a couple of times and said STOP calling this number, but half hour later it calls a***n, when I have picked up, nothing on the other end but silence.. What Can Be Done?
Claims to be HSBC Tax service asks for ss#. Very rude calls constantly daily, 4-5 times. will not leave any message
HSBC bank has c****ed their protocol for verifying "who" someone is, I work at a H&R Block office and this has been the tax season from***** dealing with the bank. Several of my clients have received calls from this number, I did a google search on the number and found this forum. Some people aren't getting their refunds due to the fact that they can't answer the questions correctly to "verify" who they are, which is ridiculous when they ask you what kind of car you drove in 1984 (an actual question posed to one of my clients from the bank). If you get a call from these people and they say that you owe them because the IRS never paid up, you have two options call the IRS AT 800-829-1040 or call the IRS Offset line to see if you owe money for student loans, unpaid tax, child support etc... that number is 800-304-3107.... To all of you that have gone through block this year and had issues, we feel your pain because we've been going through it too.
They called me and sent me a letter too. My questions is, if they didn't receive my refund from the IRS, how is that my problem. I'm not paying s**t back until I speak to the IRS. The amount for pay off isn't even close to what I received. This is BS. I didn't give them my SS# either. When the caller got rude, so did I. Needless to say she couldn't give me her name or ext or any info on her office manager!! I thought I was the only one!
they have called my home and my work. I have no clue why they are asking me for money. I go thru H & R block also, and did that loan to get it quicker. But how is it I owe them money? The IRS has not sent me any notice that so****ing was wrong with my taxes. Should I be calling my H & R block rep? Will they know what this is all about? I did the same program last year and didnt have this problem. It even got put on the same card as last year. I am so confused. I did call the 800# back and was unable to get ahold of a live rep.
multiple calls with no message
I am sure glad their are others having problems with HSBC Bank Financial Services. We were unable to pay our taxes, so thru H&R Block we got a loan. Their interest rates are 20.13, if you look closely, you will see you get charged 40% interest from the way they do their billing. Yes, they are rude. they call constantly, you ask them to stop calling your cell number, they continue to call, then they argue with you. I can not endorse this bank or Financial instution whatsoever. I tried talking to these people, I was transferred to India or ****stain, or they send you to a different department that has nothing to do with your account. STAY AWAY FROM HSBC BANK AT ALL COST!!!
Claims to be HSBC Tax Services. Will only ask for my SS#. Refuses to stop calling me. Will not tell me why they are calling. For the love of all that is good in this world I hope these people perish in a fiery painful explosion, metaphorically speaking of course.
I don't know whose number this is i don't like people i don't know calling me.
multiple calls per day on cell phone, if you try and call them back , they are requesting ss #
HAve received multiple phone calls from this companyNot sure why, we paid off what I did owe this company.
HSBC TAXPAYER FINANCIAL SERVICES INC http://www.hsbcusa.com/tax_finance Calling and asking for SSN. Amazing. Once a***n our government can't stop harrassment and fraud. Go Bush ****** Republicans!
Called my new cell line 10+ times. Never stopping. I had to c****e my number to get around them. What a mess!
numbers calls up to 4 times a day - I work. I figured it must be important so I returned the call. What a joke, from the s**** they are asking for my social #, cmon in this day I doubt it, finally got thru to a representative -- rudest people I have ever spoken to. Will not help me at all. Insist I need to pick up the phone to listen to their instructions. Guess they are SOL!
they don't have a problem calling up to 4 times a day - I work and I'm not home. So I tried to be courteous and returned a call. First of all, I don't know who they are second I am by no means entering in my social #. I finally got thru! They claim to be the seconds largest bank but are absolutely rude (thank god I don't bank with them - I wouldv'e left moons ago) and they were of no help. They insist I must pick up their phone call to find out why they are calling.
they need to stop calling. I have asked them several times and told them the person doesn't live here and they said they will keep calling.
I got a call from this number & couldn't find it on my usual anywho.com search so I tried to search for the number through Google. This site is what I came across. All I can say is if you can't dial 0 to get a live person from the number then the people at HSBC don't really need to talk to a live person either. Don't waste my time with your **** HSBC!
first of all obviously we all did our taxes electronically my question is wouldn't the IRS turn us down if there was a problem while having our taxes prepared electronically? And also I am sure we would receive a letter from the IRS. I am receiving phone calls already at work from these creeps. They have given me two different amounts that I supposedly owe and I mean totally way off. Obviously our personal information has gotten into the wrong hands. From now on I am going back to the old fashion way of doing my taxes even though it takes longer. Its sad to say no one can be trusted.I was told this is a short term loan that needs to be paid back within thirty days or it will appear on my TRW.

This call is legitimate. I had my taxes prepared through Jackson Hewitt and received the RAL (Refufund Anti****tion Loan), which was a check cut by HSBC Financial Services (I verified their Iden***y with a copy of the check the bank gave me). After reading the posts on this site, I refused to give them any personal information. After they verified information (I still did not give my SSN, so they verified my iden***y with my Phone #, street name, city & state), they told me that the IRS is refusing to release my refund to them. I requested she verify the exact amount of the refund. This company is part bank, part collection agency. They may not use the most orthodox ****od for getting a hold of you or when speaking with you, but they are legit. I verified this by mat****g the number on my caller ID with the number on my refund check.
I received a call on my cell phone from (800) 288-3811 at 3:23 p.m. PST on January 17, 2008. I was instantly su****ious because of the 800 dialing code.Instead of me saying*****o instantly, I waited about ten seconds, then just grunted, I guess for the heck of it. At that point, a live female voice stated she was calling from H & R Block. Since I have been a longtime H & R Block customer, I said I was happy to hear from her and continued on to say that I would soon be calling to make a appointment. At that point I realized that the female caller had terminated the call. So I called the (800) 288-3811 and got a recording saying, "This is HSBC Taxpayer Financial Services." I pressed "1" to continue in English, which prompted another recording stating, "Please enter your Social Security Number." That's as far as I went. There is no way in***** I would enter my SSN. This is obviously some sort of scam. Stay away. I hope someone will report this to the proper authority. Frankly, I don't have the time. but I do hope this message hepls at least one other person out there.
I got the same call
