Leave a Commentthis caller is not a scammer. I'd recently applied for a CC and target called to verify if the application was indeed me and to process my application.
Wanted a call back with no context provided
Definitely a spam call
target credit card verification
Target calling to verify online credit card application. I didn’t apply for one. They did not ask for any info (SSN, DOB etc). Stated they would decline application and report to Experion.
Target calling to verify some information after I applied for their card. Asked for name, birthdate, address, and wanted me to tell them a passcode that they texted me.
Not Spam. I recently applied for a Target card online, and they called to verify it's really me. Asked for my name, birthdate, address (all public info my true way) and texted me a verification code.
Fake like they are Target Card Applicant line
I called the 800 number for customer service, and they verified that that is a Target number for verification
First day a female left a message to call "Target"at the phone # 800-318-8433, and give reference #V81. Sounded fishy. Second day a male left the same message. I don't even shop at Target! Did not return the call.
They acted like they were Target - it's not!
No message
I contacted Target's fraud department ans asked if the number belonged to them. The person said the number wasn't one they recognized. They asked me what the person said and I told them they said they were from Target and to please call them back with the code V##. Target said they'd investigate it.
Scammers.
I got a call from "Target" because they needed more info. on a REDCard I'd just opened at the store five days earlier. I am not calling them back. If they want to get a hold of me, then that's up to them to get me at a convenient time. I will not release ANY info. to them. I will be asking the questions and ask what info. they have (I know what I gave them and will compare to what they tell me). I am also contacting Target HQ to ask if this ph# is tied to their store.
