I was contacted by what I thought was Verizon wireless to call 1-800-249-2460. Having had some recent billing issues, I called the number. A somewhat garbeld recorded message said to call 1-800-353-3300. Needless to say, this was NOT Verizon Wireless, but as previous posters said, a ********* line. I immediately contacted Verizon and they confirmed this did not come from them.
