Leave a CommentI got a call from Greg Thompson also saying the same thing. I got my package in two hours and the driver showed me the air bill shipping sticker. It was unreadable how they got my name and # is unknown but I am glad they did because it was a birthday gift from an old army buddy.
A very similar thing happened to me as reported by the other person. I got a call from a restricted number and they left a message for me to call back, when I did, someone answered and said it was FedEx and they had a package for me but couldn't read the address on the box. I wouldn't give him my address, telling him it all seemed strange. I asked him to have his manager call me back. No one ever did.
Caller identified himself as Greg Thompson from FedEx in Memphis. Caller said he had a package for me and that his driver could not read the airbill. He needed to confirm my address. He said a package would be delivered to me by 3p the following day. When no package arrived, I contacted FedEx and was told no one by that name worked at FedEx in Memphis and that no packages were enroute to me.
