They said that someone had fraudulently charged $1300 to my CB MC and that I needed to give them my SSN#, or my Bank ATM#, or my full CB MC # to verify my account.

I got a call today from Ci***bank that there's a fraudulent charge on my Citibank account. I pressed 1 to connect to a agent. An asian woman came on and I told her that she was going straight to***** for scamming people and I ***g up. 2 mins later the asian woman called me a***n on my cell and laughing said I was going to*****. I ***g up. This is so scary because if you look at Citibank website to contact us this phone number 800-374-9700 is what the scammer are using.

They claimed I was locked out of my Coinbase account and $2500 was withdrawn. I said I had the app to login and she tried to keep me from logging in on my app by saying I was locked out. Tried instead to get me in their ‘server’ on app store. I ***g up then.

Points: $1,498. from Indonesia; they asked is it my cr card or Debit card? if they were Citibank they would know, tried to get me to go to a site where they will give me an ID and password. I knew it was a scam but I wanted to see their process. When I said I will call Citibank Fraud Dept my self and they ***g up.

They left a voicemail from 1-800-374-9700, telling me I had a charge of $1,498 and intentionally I am sure, the first few words of the voicemail were cut off. When you call the number back, they tell you to enter any number including your social security number or tax ID. BLOCKED.

I got the same call as others -- 1,498 dollar transaction from Indonesia. I asked what type of card it was and the person said MasterCard ending in 1088. I do not have any Master Cards and when I repeatedly stated this to the person on the phone (who was in a call center with many voices in the background), she disconnected the call, i.e. ***g up on me. Nice way to s**** a Sa****ay morning.

Calling about fraudulent activity on credit card, charge of 1.4K from Indonesia. Asked me to download an app and whether I had an Android or iPhone. When I said I’d never heard of that, they ***g up. I called Citibank number on card and they verified that they didn’t call and no transaction was initiated for that amount.

She checked all my accounts and did not see a charge for that $ amount. However, she did say that 800 number is a Citibank number that has been hacked by scammer for caller ID s****ing.
