Charity Scam - A guy calls stating he is calling on behalf of the York Region Police****ociation looking for a donation to their charity picnic that was being held at Wonderland this year - others have reported this scam. BEWARE!
Someone from this number called. Silence for about 2 seconds, then someone (a male voice?) seemed to sing "goober" very bizarrely, at which point I ***g up and dialed *69
Asked for a family member. When I asked who it was calling, he blurted "is it your business?" I said "Yes, it's my family" and he retorted "no, it's not" and ***g up. I'd like to know who is calling my home and being rude. Unbelievable.
