CALLER SATS SHE IS FROM UPS AND WANTS ME TO SIGN FOR A PACKAGE. I GAVE HER MY NEW ADDRESS AND MY WORK ADDRESS.I TRIED TO CALL BACK BUT THE NUMBER SHE CALLED FROM COULDNT HOLD ANYMORE MESSAGES. I TURN IT IN TO THE LOCAL POLICE.
Same thing happened to me this morning. I got a call on my cell phone saying I had a package and they have not been able to catch me. The lady said my address and I told her I had moved and gave her my new address. I then proceeded to tell her I was at work and she asked for that address and of course I gave it to her! I had not answered the 800 number call but 5min. later I got a call from 636-394-9441. That is the number that I talked to the supposed UPS lady. I called the number back and A different lady answered and I got the UPS number and she new nothing about a call she said she was the only one working. Anyway to make a long story short I know my UPS MAN PERSONALLY AS I TOLD THE LADY ON THE PHONE, I checked with UPS and they had no knowledge of this. Icontacted the local police and I hope w***ver this is will be real careful, they will get caught soon.
I just got a call from 1-800-381-0323. The man said his name was Mark...so****ing and he was with Nationwide Courier service. He told me it was affiliated with UPS. He said he was trying to deliver so****ing for my Husband (we are seperated and he lives in another state). He was asking personal questions about where I was yes****ay when he tried to deliver the package. Yes****ay was Easter, I asked him why they would deliver on Sunday. He said the postal service never stops. I called my ex and told him the guy said he ordered so****ing from best buy and wanted to deliver it tonight (after 7 pm??????) He said he didn't order anything. My phone number is only in my name...I don't know how they got it in****ociation with my ex???? Also, the guy tried to get alternate phone numbers from me???? This is creepy!
My mom received similar call yes****ay from a guy claiming to be from UPS. He said that my mom has a parcel from Navy Federal. The guy was asking if there was someone at home to receive package cause its signature required. My Mom said yes but there was no one who came to deliver anything. My Mom became skeptical so she contacted the local police and ups. I visited FTC.GOV to add my mom's number in the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY.
I received a similar phone call two days ago from a lady claiming to be from UPS. She said she had a signature required parcel from my school and they could only leave it at my stop step if i answer the security question which was my birthday. I thought the call was real because they knew my number, name and school. Well, i guess since i confirmed this information with them i should s**** to expect lots of junk in the mail and my name to be used in some kind fraud. The number is 800-381-0323... I became skeptical when i got home and didn't see a package waiting for me and when i tried to call them i received "The user voice mail is full"so please be alert of that 800 number and anyone claiming to be from UPS
Got a call from this number with a person saying he was from UPS. Said he had a package for me weighing 7.2 pounds. He wouln't tell me what it was- I was not expecting any package. He said no one else could sign for the package but me. He then asked me for an "occupational password"- whatever that is!- in order to deliver it. I called UPS and there was no record of a delivery for my house and also it is not thier policy to ask for passwords and usually anyone at the address can sign for a package. This incident really bothers me!
This Is Eduardo calling from UPS we have a package we are tried to deliver to you yes****ay. "Hmmm well I was out yes****ay. Why didn't he just leave it at the office?" I asked who is this package from? "Lifestyle in Las Vegas" It weighs 6lbs. Blah blah blah. Called the number back but just get is "That mailbox is full and can not except any knew messages" This number is super su****ious. DO NOT GIVE YOUR WORK ADDRESS to w***ver it is that is calling you. They try to press you for information.
