This is the number for Portfolio Recovery****ociates. They are a 3rd party debt collection agency. If they call and have the wrong number, just say so and they will remove your number. Do you really think these collectors want to continue to call the wrong number? No! If they are asking for you by name and you believe they have the wrong person then cooperate with them to get it straightened out otherwise they will keep calling you because they are well within their rights to do so. If you owe money, pay it! Work out a payment plan or ask for a settlement. Don't be a deadbeat debtor.

Guy named Troy called my number. Total ****. Troy if you are listening when I said don't call back. I was dead serious.

Received two calls today from 1-800-383-8013.  They were calling for my son.  I think they were just "fishing".   They left a message to ask for "Mindy" at extension 22004.  Both calls seemed to be electronic.  There were pauses at the same points in the message, such as shortening the phone number, but I found it on caller ID.

They keep calling, day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year. They ask directly for me and leave me with the name Christian Fisher.  I don't owe anyone, I pay cash for everything, how can I get them to stop bothering me?

I have asked them to please not call a***n.  The person they ask for does not live here.The caller is committing a crime.  What can I do?

This number calls at all hours days, nights, and weekends and holidays.  Enough is enough, I don't owe.  I have tried please dont call, I have tried blocing I have tried everything and still these people continue to call my unlisted number

Sharon Flood called my ex-husband and discussed personal information about an alleged account I had. I didn't think they could discuss anything about me personally or account related. He tells her not to call and she still calls. Isn't it harassment if you tell them to not call you and they still do? I told him to record the conversations and say for her not to call so when she calls a***n, he'll have proof of it and can maybe take legal action.

Got a few calls. Up until today i did not answer or respond. They are looking for someone other than me. I called back and told them they are calling the wrong number. I do not know who this person is that they are looking for. The woman stated she would take my number off of the list for the person they are looking for. DEA and Lynn must work for Portfolio Recovery****ociates. They have commented/defended PRA on other sites stating that people should pay their bills. Why would they be calling my number looking for someone other than me? Explain that DEA and Lynn!? You donkeys.

These people keep calling about a credit card that had been stolen. The man plead guilty and is serving time... They need to give this up because there is no way we are paying it...

Got a call as well from the number asking for Juan Miranda. Told him he had the wrong #, then keep continously asking me my name. After telling him that he called me, that he needs to give me his information first before I told him anything. He stated, well I did a reverse # search and my cell phone number showed to be registered to Mr. Juan Miranda.  I informed him that he was full of it, that he was calling me on a cell phone which is registered with DNC, and if he wanted to try and attempt to contact Mr. Miranda further he needed to do so by mail and I ***g up on him. Haven't called back yet.

I received a call from this number.  I don't know the number.  I do not know the caller.  I have an unlisted number.  We don't owe anybody anything.  I did a Google on the 800 383 8013 and read the other complaints.Never will myself or a family member pick up on this number.

I just received a call from this number, I didn't answer it, I go to Google.com and type in who called me from this number and after reading this I know not to answer my phone, funny thing we don't owe anyone anything, never have been behind on anything. Never even co-signed for anyone.  So I learned not to answer if they call a***n.

Called asked for a full woman's name.  Told her she didn't live here. She asked if I knew her - said I'd never heard of her before.  Then she said the woman had given my husband as a contact person. Left a number for him to call if he had heard of her.

Same here. I've been receiving this number for the past two months. Each time they call, I would let them kindly know they are calling the wrong number and the person they are looking for is not the owner of this number. Oh, the nerves of them to say, "We've talked to this Sha-don-d-ka with this number before." Seriously, if they pick up cases decade-old, do they really think the owner registered to this number ten years ago would still be the owner of the same number in this present time? Goodness, it's annoying. I'd be sleeping, they call. Or out, they still call. In the ungodly morning hours, they call. =X

I have received several calls from this number. Today it was from "Megan" at extension 22734. I did not take the call. Someone else answered it, and asked for me with my first name only, and did not give the company information. I had to look it up here to get that information. I know from past calls, they were asking about credit car5ds that I have not had, since I have not had credit cards since the 80's, and those were all paid off years ago. I will NOT be returning their calls either.

I've gotten daily calls from this number.  Last night there was a message with the number and ext. #22789.  I don't know what name, company, what they want, etc.  Isn't this harrassment?

Got a call from these people and even when they are told no one by that name lives here, they keep calling, despite me telling them to never call a***n.   I have reported them to the State Attorney General's Office.

They called and asked for a woman named Stacia, I said they had the wrong number and was about to **** up when the kid who called screamed out 'but Stacia, um, applied for a job and put this number as a reference'.  I said ok great but you have the wrong number.  'So this isn't Stacia'. NO.  'Have you had this number a long time'?  I said yes and ***g up.  It was weird I could hear an older man in the background giving her directions.

We got a phone call from this # today as well ,they left a messg. to return the call to themwith the ext. # 22057 . After reading these commentswe are not going to return the call.

they called my work and told my boss i would know what it was about but wouldn't tell her who. my boss even said she was "bubbly". so i googled it. i think i'm going to call from a different number and ask for their mailing address to get them off my back here at least

These people call at 8:00 pm. they keep saying if im not the person that they are calling to **** up. im not, but how to get my number off their list.I s****ed ****ing a loud whistle in their ear when they call.

From a collection agency that is trying to collect a credit card debt that has been written off over 10 years ago. Just ignore the caller.

They called and only gave their # and extention, no company info. They gave the a name that is not at my number, but they keep calling anyway.
