Leave a CommentThey won't stop calling me everysingle day and every single hour of the day
This number calls my cell phone and I never had any account with them. I am on the National DNC list to avoid these however it has not stopped.
just got my statement yes****ay and noticed i didnt make a payment last month (a balance of $350 or so). The next day i s**** getting calls from this 800# over and over. I am just going to ignore them. I made a payment online through my bank today, maybe that will get them off my back.
We got a call from these guys at the HBC Collections Dept. because my wife was late with a payment recently (she doesn't make it a habit!). All I can say is this... their Collections Dept. is only going to become more relentless and aggressive over the next 2 years. This is because they will want to collect as many of their debts owing as possible before Zellers is completely taken over by Target. Zellers has been a money-loser for HBC for years and collecting their debts is one of the few ways that they will be able to recover from some of their losses. I can only hope that Target will be a better place to shop when they do finally take over all of the Zellers stores.
No message ...relentless ....800.387.***0

I have been getting calls about 6 times a day from this number, so I called and the first thing it asked me was for my account number. It seemed a bit sketchy so I ***g up and called the HBC number on the back of my mastercard statement and spoke to customer service. They confirmed that this number that has been calling me is from their company, in the collections department. Customer service was super nice and helpful and explained that when we fist opened the card in August of this year, we recieved a statement for a minimum payment of $33 that they didnt recieve. Since that statement we have paid every one, on time and made payment that are more than the minimum, large sum payments of $300+, which I explained and she saw and thanked me for. But she explained that the computer system doesnt allow those larger payments to cover a missed statement, because it only counts it towards the current statement period. Basically, the computer needs to see an extra payment of $33 or more hit the account. So even though on my statement I look current with no past due amounts, their computer system has me looking like I missed a payment which is why I am getting the calls. She said she would send a note to the credit dept to stop the calls and explain the situation so this doesnt affect my personal credit and was very helpful and kind. All that required is I go into my ***nch and make a $33 payment by friday to make up for the missed one. Its a bit silly and she apologized for the odd system, but in the end its all fixed so I highly suggest calling the number on your statement or calling HBC directly (to avoid the collections dept, they are scary) and ask questions. Hope this helps!

s***bags of ****** capitalism: let the pathetic gnomes who are *****s pf these fu@kwits try and try. *******s!
The calls I get from this number is a recorded message asking for me, by name, and if that is me, to press the #1, or if not, press another number until you get the person by name. It's very annoying as they call every few days and we either don't answer, or pick up and **** up. I was told it was a scam and if you enter a number like they ask you to, they will have access to your phone and abuse your iden***y and phone line. Makes me wonder why these people don't just get a fr*ggin life. Talk about evil losers!
Been getting three or four calls a day on my phone from this number with no message. The greeting for my voicemail is specific, phone is not on, will not be answered, leave message.
They've been calling me for the past few days ranging from early in the morning 8AM to 5PM. I pick up but they do not talk. I repeat "hello?" for twenty seconds and they just **** up. They never talk whenever I pick up. It's really annoying.
do not want these calls. on do not call list
You can buy phones that block phone numbers. A number calls, you program it in your block list and when it calls back, the phone rings once, identifies the number and cuts it off. Most phone companies will do this as well for a monthly fee.
I do not wish to receive calls from 1 800 numbers of any kind, they are a nuisance!!
I keep getting calls from them and am not sure whether it is a fraud or not. I have an HBC card but am up to date in payments and if I was late why wouldn't they send a letter. I refuse to give my info over the phone.....be careful!
Just got a call from this phone number and said that his name is Alex. He told me that I'm late in my payments. What amazed me was the way this person was speaking, rudeness, in one word it was in unacceptable manner. Until now I don't know to who I spoke to.
Called numerous times. Refused to identify themselves on first two calls. Third call I was informed it was HBC. Wanted to speak with my wife. Informed them we are on the No Call List for unsolicited calls. I was told it was not a sales call. When asked why they called they refused to provide answer.Caller was rude and abrupt. I was told she would continue calling until she spoke with my wife.
The callers from this number claim to be HBC. They ask for a specific person and then ask that person to provide their HBC credit card number and address. These people are NOT from HBC. They will take the information (if people are ****** enough to provide it) and either max out the card OR steal their iden***y. Stop these people.
seems to be Fraud - claims to be calling from HBC. She gave me incorrect info and then referred me to call Mastercard at the #: 1-866-640-7850
very rude people, would not tell where they are calling from, no message to be left, just want to speak to the 'person' they are calling for, and once they get a hold of the person, then they ask to verify ur address/hbc account number, its a scam, report these people!

they call at least 10 times a day. Even when you have made the payement. I told to stick their credit card where the sun don't shine then **** up.
demanding voice, would not leave a message, ***g up on me
Demanding voice -I must provide my address - I said they are on my block call list -many calls daily- **** up !!!
dont talk to these people ! - harassing & rudeI told them that they are on my block call list Say they are HBC - would not specify what they want
These guys are soo annoying even when I made a payment Hbc calls about 12 to 14 times a day!
called at 8:20am...no message
that's the scam
same as the situation of above. That's so terrible!
I feel like I'm being stalked. I have never in my life been so harassed by anybody and that includes telemarketers, credit card companies and surveyors all combined!!!!!!I did answer a couple of their calls. They said they were calling from HBC and that I owed them money. I asked them "how could I possibly owe you money when I never even had a credit card with them". They responded that I had applied for one and got 10% off of my purchase that day so I owed them. I still insisted that there is no way I could owe them money when I didn't have a card then or now. That was the first call and I thought that would be the end of it. Truly thought it was a scam. The second time I actually answered they still insisted that I owe them from my purchase that day. I asked him "how could they possibly say I owe them when, even if I did apply for a card, I didn't have one so how could I owe them?". I didn't understand his explanation but I said "I see". Then I told him I would look for the invoice and pay it and I wanted them to "cancel whatever the heck they had and said "this is bull_ _ _ _. Where was my 10% savings. What kind of a scam is HBC/Zellers putting on people. Doing a little research on the net has shown me the enormous extent of this scam. Actually I still feel it is. Should we all be liable?
I have been receiving up to two calls per day from this number. Often I ignore it; no message is left. On those occasions I have picked up the call, nothing was heard.
Received and still receiving calls from 1-800-387-***0 it's very annoying sometimes they call once every 20 min. I agree that 800 numbers should be public, how good is the do not call list if no one knows who calls??
Haven't answer myself, yes annoying and they called every 2 hours, right until, 8:45 pm. I heard the national "do not call" list was sold by an employee!! lol No I didn't put my number on this list.
I didn't answer and it keeps calling every 2 hours.. wow! that's annoying as*****!!
annoying very much
Scam.

They call every two hours! You ask them who they are and to leave a message and they **** up with no answer!
