Claimed to be asking for donations for Cancer Society and knew my name and address. When I confirmed only my name, they ***g up the phone. I tried to call the number back but it says it is not in service.

Caller quickly ***g up after my answer ma****e came on. I'll be reporting this number to do not call because I'm on that list & have been.

They call 3-4 times a day 8:00AM to 10:00PM 7 days a week asking for money for cancer I asked them not to call numerous times, but they won't stop.

They called - the woman was trying to supress her laughter and she was looking for donations for the cancer fund. I asked her what was so funny about cancer. She replied: "oh, nothing. Thank you anyway" ... before she ***g up I could still hear her in the background saying "******, Stop it. This guy heard me laughing" Then the phone went dead...

Ok, I've reported number after number and what exactly is being done? I still get calls, not only on my home phone, but my cell phone as well. My husband took this call and they asked for me, he told them there was no one by that name here, they even asked my if this was the our address, of course, he told them NO. How do they get the number AND address? HOW CAN THIS BE STOPPED? Obviously c****ing our number will not help!!!!

I have been getting these calls too. One yes****ay at 4:50 P.M.. Got another this morning at 8:44 A.M. Since I get so many 800 calls I will not answer them. I hope they read all these complaints and quit calling. If I want to donate money to anybody I will not donate over the phone. I will  put it directly into the hands of the person that has cancer or whatever disease they have that need it. I think it is really foolish to call anybody from another state to beg for money. To me it is also rude to call people at an hour that interferes with peoples privacy. I have got calls at 9 p.m at night. This should be stopped. I think 800 numbers should be put on the No Call list.

This is a telemarketing office of the Cancer Fund of America in Dearborn, MI (313-565-5901) who identify themselves as Cancer Support Services which according to personnel in Dearborn is "an abbreviation" for Cancer Fund of America; headquarted in Knoxville, TN 800-578-5284

Found the Cancer Fund of America website (http://www.cfoa.org) and a contact number of 1-800-578-5284. Spoke to a Mike Reynolds who claimed to be the Fund Raising Manager and he****ured me I will be added to the Do Not Call list. We'll see.

Same number, same problem. I just read on another forum that with some phone companies if you dial *60 you can block any numbers you want to from calling. I tried it and it worked for me!

I have received at lwast 10 calls in the last 3 days from this number. It is the cancer support group. If I wanted to donate at this time I would have answered the call. I have been letting it go to voice mail. I want the calls to stop. One or two calls would hae been sufficent.

I have recieved 20 phone calls since Wednesday from this organization. 11 of the calls were on 11/25. I have told them that I am not Anna and to stop calling me. I have filed complains with the Do Not Call Registry, FCC, FTC and I'm about to file a police report. I have sent them 10 emails and left 2 messages at this phone number.

This comes up as "Toll Free" on my caller ID and the company or individual will not leave any message after the answering ma****e beeps. I am on the Do Not Call list and I DO NOT WANT TO BE BOTHERED BY W***VER IS REPEATEDLY CALLING ME, BOTH DAY AND EVENING!!!!!

Caller ID says Cancer Fund. Complaints on 800Notes say some calls are for donations but others are pranks or from collection agencies. Here are a couple of 800Notes reports: They have been calling constantly for months. Registered complaints twice with the do not call list. Number comes up as "toll free service" on caller id. They are "Cancer Fund of America Support Services" Research shows they do not meet charity standards as they do not provide appropriate required services and keep the money for themselves. They do not qualify as a charity and can be reported to state's district attorney and the do not call list. They called 28 times yes****ay!!! Many of those were back-to-back.

Someone from 800-390-4812 called me this morning, I answered the phone and after saying*****o 2-3 times, they ***g up on me. I did a search on the number with Google and this site and many others like it came up all showing people complaining about this caller and ****up calls and repeat calls in the same day. Is there a way that we can block out these unwanted and unsolicited calls ourselves? There has to be a way to do it, without having to pay extra on our phone bills. Is anyone or any legal system looking into this to find out who is behind all of these types of calls? These people need to be held accountable for their actions and should have to suffer the consequences to the fullest extent of the law under "Nuisance Callers". If anyone is able to find out exactly who they are, I am sure all of us who have been subjected to all of their calls would love to see them punished or have to pay each person they called some sort of monetary consequence. All I know is that I wish they would be caught and never be allowed to have the use of any kind of communication devices for the rest of their natural life.

Caller keeps calling wanting us to pledge but will not confirm when, or who, how a pledge commitment for Cancer Support Services came about. We never gave them one. They give phone number, but there is no way to get to anyone on the phone, unless they call you. The calls s****ed when we gave 100 to st. jude in the home giveaway in oklahoma.

CSS - Cancer Support Services 800.390.4812. They state that they are registered with the state and attorney general but do not tell you what state and there is no direct way to contact the company. I found them on this little nothing website but it only has links to other sites! I'd bet money that this place is a scam! If you do call and leave your name and telephone number they do not get back to you in the 5-10 days as they tell you. Leaving your information only invites them to call more frequently! THEY DO NOT STOP CALLING! You can also file a complaint with the Do Not Call Registery!

Fundraiser for cancer. Originally when they called they s**** off asking is it ok to mail me information about their fundraiser, I say yeah thats fine, they then transfer me to verify my mailing address, except when I am transfered they want to know how much my donation is gonna be!!( I had been laid off from my job, so I don't have any money to donate) They then call back a week later wanting to know where my donation is, I explain to them my financial situation, now they call 2-3 times a day at all hours.

Call several times. Take care about answering so called companies requesting donations. First they can't be put on no-call list. Second, call-blocker through your phone compnay doesn't block 800 numbers. Third, by answering, you "technically" create a "business/customer" relationship allowing them to keep calling up to 6 months to 2 years even if they are on a "no-call" list. If you don't know the 800 number, just don't answer or pay for a true call-blocker from Radio Shack or elsewhere which will block 800 and/or long distance calls.

Comes in as "toll free call" Twice this week already. If you let it ring four times it ****s up. Finally caught it after one, got the typical autodial delay and told them to stop.

This number calls 2 or 3 times a week. They say they are the Cancer Fund. I have told them I contribute to several charities including them and to not call but they continue. It is the first of April, '09 and even though I have been on the do-not-call list for several years, I have never received so many unwarrented calls!

Rings, no one answers?

I've s****ed getting a call from this number each morning between 8 and 9am. They never leave a message.

I have asked to be removed from their call list and they refuse to do it. This is what I do. I Call 1-800-390-4812 and wait till they ask you to leave a message if you interested in donating. I leave a long irrelevant message about 5 times a day. Everyone should dial this number and flood the lines and the voice mail with nonsense. It may not do much but its still fun.

According to other victims this number is that of the Cancer Fund of America Support Services. Look this up on "Wisegiving". It appears to be as close to a scam as one can legally go.

really tired of continual calls from this outfit . . . have now enabled my fax ma****e on my land line so that IF it is a real person calling from this obnoxious bunch of scam artists, they will get an earful of screech every time my caller id shows their number. if not a real person, then it's a wasted effort but it's worth a try and, trust me, it makes me feel better. and yes, i do answer the calls that i know so that other people don't get the screech in their ears.
