Leave a CommentWow...please add me to the list. I would gladly scan and upload the hand-written note and envelope so this guy/company can get investigated. I sense someone out there is giving ripped off.
Texas resident- today I received a hand written note about selling life insurance from Clayton. Love the internet, I don't like how it can be used for scams, but it could be used to stop scams also.
Same here. Got a handwritten note from 'Clayton' that said he was trying to get ahold of me.
got the letter in the mail, from Clayton asking if sold insurance
BDK...Thanks for the update. I have gotten a couple of these. Do you know the name of the company? Why would they use this type of correspondence? Thanks!
This place is a life insurance agency that markets Indexed UL (which soon may only be available thru registered reps) and offers "pre-set appointments". In trade for the "pre-set appointments", their commission contract is pathetic, and you have to PAY a decent non-refundable amount to sign up before you've even gone into their training program. You MUST also memorize and use their long, *****, canned presentation TO THE WORD, and it's a truly ridiculous one with comments like "you're gonna owe me a plate of chocolate chip cookies when I come back with my proposal"... Don't waste your time or money.
Resident of Kansas. Same letter everyone else got. He must comb department of insurance websites looking for producer info. I never fault someone trying to build a legitmate business and giving someone a good opportunity to make money & achieve career success. But there is a right way to recruit producers, and a wrong way. "Clayton" chooses the latter.
I got 2 of these handwritten notes in the mail today and decided to do some checking. It was VERY creepy. I work DO sell life insurance. My ex is named Clayton and he moved to Utah! I thought he was stalking me and just wanting me to call him so he would get my number. Glad I found this website. I thought you couldn't mail anything without a return address after 9/11 and all the security measures they put in. Very weird!
I got it too. I feel fishy, so I decided to check the 1-800 number and got this page. Thanks so much
got a call
I got it too. thanks for this thread. I would have called.
Yeah, same note here. I'm a banker and they sent it to my ***nch. No return address on the envelope, pretty fishy.
I called the number. They said he was with a company called "Federal Financial Group" and was looking for agents in different parts of the country to go to work for them I imagine?
We received at least three of these in our office on the same day. Whatever they are telemarketing for they are persistant and not afraid to spend some money to do so.
I also got a hand written note. This is crazy.
Wouldnt it be nice to call them and play the game just to get enough info to at least report them to the BBB???
Same story. To me this is fraudulent advertising and should be subject to some kind of fine. ****s.
Got the same lame letter from "Clayton" asking if I sell life insurance. Same format as described by previous post. It's now in the shredder. At least they are keep the postal service in business.
Same here, I'm a resident of Oregon. This is irritating. Also, the handwritten envelope penmanship is not the same as that on the note.
received a note in the mail from someone named Clayton asking me if I still sold life insurance....no return address was on the envelope that originated from Utah...and I am a resident of Texas...
just wondering who they are
