Leave a CommentFraudulent $9.05 transaction on my bank account. Listed as checkcard purchase without PIN. A call to that 800 number yielded: "Ring Central. The number you dialed is not in service" and a disconnect. Canceled my debit card, filed fraud paperwork, and my bank is sending me a new debit card. I don't use my bankcard for online purchases, but possibly my number was "harvested" by a skimmer device at a local retail store. What a nuisance! I hope my bank catches the thieves.
One of my visa cards was billed twice for 9.05 by Link Services when I called the message I got was "You Have Reached Ring Services the number you are using is out of service try a***n later." Visa said they had it listed as a financial services fee. I dont have and never have used such a thing. They really need to be jailed.
Got charged $9.10 on my debit card but tried calling and there was no response. Don't remember anything i did that connects me to Link Services.
I looked at my bank account this morning and there was an unauthorized charge on our account in the amount of $9.15, done at about 9 a.m. this morning. I had to call my bank, cancel my card, and now have to file fraud paperwork. This has happened to a bunch of people. I am glad I check my bank accounts at least 2 times a day!
I was not contacted by anyone but I too noticed a fraudulent charge of $9.10 from "LINK SERVICES 800-408-3689 CA" on 10Aug2008. Be sure to check this link out. http://800notes.com/articles/News.aspx/Lvz7S11WjQCaCgjKqPx8Ag It claims that these card numbers were probably stolen and that the thieves are even using spam bots to make unrelated postings to various discussions regarding these unauthorized charges in an attempt to confuse the issue. Some of the postings said that the number belongs to a collection agency, some claimed that a telemarketer calls from it, others reported that the number belongs to a newspaper subscription service.
I just checked my bank account today and surprise, surprise...I found the same thing all of you did. A charge for $9.05 from link services with the 800-408-3689 number. it went through on Sept 7 2008. called the number first, got the same message as everyone else. then I googled the number and found three different pages like this one all with people who have been scammed too. I didn't receive a phone call though...like I said I found it by checking my bank account. has anyone found anything out about this...those of you who posted in the summer? also I wish there was a way we could attempt to find a connection between all of us. do you guys shop online often? use your card over the phone? visit certain stores all the time that could have been compromised? could our computers have a virus or so****ing so that the scammers could get our info? I don't know...just grasping at straws trying to figure this out. now I have to pay $5 for a new card, which I think it totally unfair, and wait for the dispute to go through. not a happy camper. I barely have money to support myself so I'm definitely going to fight the charge.
my bank card was charged $9.10 as a debit without pin. the charge shows up as link services 8004083689. this is a scam and when you call the number, you get a message saying that your call can't be answered.
Last week, I was called by my bank to let me know that a****entially fraudulent transaction from "Link Services" had come through on my account for $9.15. I just had to close my debit card down. Now I have to go in to the bank and file a fraud affidavit.
This "Link Services" company put a $9.10 fraudulent charge onto my bank account, claiming to be from 800-408-3689. I've noticed a lot of posts online about this fraudulent activity over the past couple of weeks (Aug/Sept 2008). Had to hassle with canceling my atm card and reissuing. Argh. And it took five bank representatives a total of 1.5 hours to clear up.
Phone Number Owner: 800-408-3689 Phone Number Report: Company called "LINK SERVICES" at 1-800-408-3689 plcaed unauthorized charge of $9.15 on my credit card. Credit & debit card and pin needs to be replaced.
Charged $9.15 on 8/18 with an old bank debit card that was sitting at near zero balance- I now have a $20 overdraft fee and will be hit with an additional ******cause I just noticed insufficient available funds notice from my old bank at $5 per day. This is going to cost me over $50 when all said and done!! I haven't used this card in over a year an nothing "tied" to it!!!
Charged $9.05 on August 21, 2008. I never use this card, so am unsure how they got the info on my BOA Visa debit card. They had the number and the expiration date but none of my other personal info. Phone number is answered by ma****e, does not identify the company, just says leave a message.
Same as everyone else. They charged 9 dollars and I never heard of them, but my debit card needs to be replaced.
They did not call me but a charge of $9.15 was put on my credit card from them (Link Services)
Same problem as others...$9.10 unauthorized charge from "Link Services" on my CC.
Company called "LINK SERVICES" at 1-800-408-3689 plcaed unauthorized charge of $9.10 on my credit card. Did not give them my credit card number, and did not order anything. Must be a fraud or scam.
Similar to everyone else reporting here. Charge of $9.15 on my credit card "Link Services..." Bank says it is listed as electronics store and the charge came through as online transaction. I ahve not use my card in months. Appear like the fallout of the massive card number theft reported last year in the media
Had a charge of 9.00 on my check card that I did not make. Will file fraud notice at the bank. Thanks for everyone else's stories!
Charged 9.15 on credit card. Called Chase up and I'm being refunded the amount. Sounds like a scam. I called the 800 # and blank voicemail without any identifying info.
Charged my credit card $9.10 Notified by credit card agency of unlawful charge and disputed that charge. Unknown who these persons are only that the charges say their from California with this phone number.Unknown what this company sells or offers or how they got my CC number. Looks like a scam to me! Please check your credit card charges regularly. I do!
We haven't received any calls from this number that I am aware of...but there was a $9.10 charge on our credit card from them. Our bank had the business name LINK SERVICES 800-408-3689. We don't know who these people are and how we were charged.
I received a charge on my credit card for $9.10 by "Link Services" at this (800)408-3689 phone number with no response when I called. I see that I am not alone.****uming this number is actually used by these criminals, it might be fun to set your fax ma****e to fax to this number and set it to retry 99 times. The fax ma****e will never connect (nothing on the other end) and will **** up and try a***n. This should rack up some 800 number charges for them (assuming they have a legitimate phone line and aren't using someone else's phone as their own). If you s**** this process when you go to bed or when you leave work, it should call them all night long racking up 99 phone calls worth of charges a night.
There was a charge on my monthly bank statement for $9.00 from Link Services. I do not know who this company is. I called the number and I only get a recording. I called my bank and they refunded the $9.00. This company needs to be investigated.
A charge of 9.10 showed up on my credit card. I do not know this company of Link Services or their number of 800-408-3689. I had to cancel my card and get a new one.
Debit Charge on my Chase Account for $9 - Link Services. We filed a fraud charge and bank refunded my money (thank God)! Beware!!!
Charged $9.10 on my credit card. Voice mail is all I can get when I call the 800 number. I will get it taken off but these people need to be prosecuted.
a company called link services of newport beach ca. placed a $ 9.00 charge on my bank account. in talking to my bank, they will remove the charge, however, it will cost me $ 5.00 to replace the card. the bank said that it will investigate and try to prosecute. i notified the newport city attorney who responded that the information was passed on to their police dept. for further investigation.
I repeatedly get calls from Tim Stanovich requesting a return call from either me or my attorney. He says "you understand this is not a sales call."
Called and left no message.
Good for you
I received a debit from my credit card account and the number the bank gave me was 1-800-408-3689. My checking account was charged 9.00 and I was wonder who this was and how did they get my debit card
I keep getting calls from World Zen 1. They have been leaving me messages on my ma****e for the past month and I can't get them to stop. I have tried to call them and every time I get a recording. I'm really annoyed by this. Don't know what we can do to make them stop.
Phone just rang with this number, rang twice and stopped? Guess they didn't want to talk to me
I also got a call from this number. No message. No idea who is it.
I just got a call from this number. It was an automated voice that spoke way too fast. She had an account number and said I had to call. I wasn't able to get the account number written down, but I managed to get the phone number. After being on hold for quite a while, they asked for my Social Security number so they could "look me up". No thanks. They couldn't look me up any other way so I said "thanks" and ***g up.
This corp. calls 3 or 4 times a day and leaves a message for some one who does not live here. They do NOT leave a phone # so I can call back. I am on the Don't Call List but apparently they can call all they want.
I've been getting automated phone calls from this place almost every day since we opened our new office and I finally got fed up this afternoon and called the 1-800 number back and after a short conversation was told they'd remove the number from the list. Let's hope it actually happens.
This is a debt collector posing under the guise of a law firm. Do not engage in their calls. If you receive a letter from them, only respond via certified, registered letter. I would suggest contacting a good attorney who knows the law regarding debt collectors as they are most likely doing so****ing illegal and you can bring suit a***nst them. if you do talk to them, note time, date, and conversation for your attorney's records. They are SLIME.
They have broken the Fair Debt Collection Practice Act - and they can be fined BIG MONEY!! I called the Dublin, OH Police, and they are in fact a collection agency . OSI Collections (Outsourcing Solutions Incorporated) 5626 Frantz Road Dublin, OH 43017 Class action suit anyone??
Got a call from this number on my cell, they didn't leave a message and when I tried to call it back I got a busy signal.
Received a call from 1 to call back for an urgent msg but when I called back there was a msg saying that the receipient's mailbox is full.
Received several calls from this number, called back and had to make up a non-existent SSN and address. Since the VR system couldn't help me, I finally made it through to a CSR. She was very polite and after I explained that I don't have any accounts with them, I asked to have my cell phone number removed from their calling list. Hopefully, they will follow through.
Call came in at 7:35 p.m. last evening. Caller was looking for someone that did not live here. I stated that I didn't know who they were and that party would did not live here. Then the follow-up dumb question was, "well, do you know where he can be reached?" I said, "I just told you that person didn't live here, why in the***** would you think I'd know where he was now? Duh!"
calls, no message
I'm getting calls from same people - except it ends in 7014. I complained with the do not call registry as well..hopefully so****ing will come of this!
Looked them up on Reverse-Lookups .. this is the info they had on file: is Unpublished or Unavailable Type: Cell PhoneProvider: Nextel Communications Location: Gardena, CA
I received calls from as well with no message left. At first I was confused with who they were but they are not an actual collection agencybut just a receivables ***nch of the Las Vegas valley health care system (a.k.a. Desert Springs Hospital, Summerlin Hospital. They tend to make collection calls before the invoice is due, so even if you're current you may receive a call if you owe them so****ing.
If you feel like being a real man, STEP UP (pay your bill). Otherwise SHUT UP!!!
We average 5 calls a day from this number. The caller has never left a message regarding the nature of their calls. The calls have all come in between 11:30am - 2:30pm. Calls do not come in on the weekends or holidays.
Calls every half hour or more. Tired of it.
Left message attempting to get someone else' phone number too.
So glad i found this site. so i call back, busy, called the number listed on this site.. magically they can not find the number they dialed to remove me from their calling list. wow talk about a way not to be put on the do not call list and another way to obatin your information by trying tosearch via various data bases!!1 also, i found out, they call my parents house, my dad, clairifed if this was the about the car loan im applying for, they probably said yes, but left off the car loan part and obtained my phone number from him. Thanks for being a sounding off board.
O.K. I have reported these people once and now this takes the cake when you pick up the phone and they say nothing..I will have my home phone disconnected before I go through cost of c****ing number as I don't know who these people are as I pay my bills so I know that there not looking for ME! If they want a neighbor then they need to bother them, not me. I am not everyone's keeper.

*****t Acceptance has s****ed calling my work number looking for a Jennifer with the same last name as me. But all I get are the automated, computer calls telling me to call them back. F-them, I am a good guy, I have always paid my bills.
It's SCHMUCK you b***h!

They call two or three times a day, and when I answer it they **** up. Iden***ify your self at least or ask who you are callign for.

Unidentified person. Collection agency with wrong information demanding payment.
This number 1 calls my house everyday at least 2-4 times. I tried a reverse search by number but it turned up nothing. If it does not stop I will file harrassment charges and sue. I'VE HAD ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!
I also received calls from this number. and I do not a a oustanding debt. When I ask for the company name the caller would not give it. They said I had a debt from about two or three years ago for about 400.00 on a credit card with whchova b ank. I never had account with this bank. but i said it could be my son with the same name. i said I would call my son and have him call them. One day later I get a call from my doughter who just received a call from her motherinlaw who lives in Pa. different last name. They got me nuts doing that. I will be looking into what I can do to put a end to this .

I received several calls but never called them back until today. They were very nice and removed my number.
Hey collector troll, learn the difference between plural (debtors) and singular possessive (debtor's). Let the rest of us know when you learn to read and write.
This law company wants to take me to court for a debt I have nothing to do with. I am now looking into resolving it. But Beware, so far it sounds phishy.
Hi was wondering if yo had any luck on the complaint form. Please keep me posted as I too am geting calls from them and dont know what to do
