Leave a CommentLeft a message on my parents answering ma****e. I have not lived with them for 8 years. They also used my last name from a previous marriage.
Some smuck called with the name of Mike Cook and left a message tring his best to sound like a lawyer by saying he wanted to to make sure we were both on the same page before he went into this case. Says he's from Red NES.
All the automated messages are illegal. Per FDCPA and the case of Foti v. NCO Financial Systems - even automated messages as well as messages left by a person from a 3rd party debt colelctor must state who the call is for and have a disclosue in the course of the message to advise anyone who is not the debtor a chanceto stop listening. Then it is to proceed with the nature of the call being to collect a debt, no other infor allowed to be given - i.e. casenumbers, legal terms, ramifications, or any sense of urgency) and the iden***y of the company and the call back number. You can contact a lawyer. Also it is a***nst the law for a collection agency to leave more than 1 message per day per debt. If a colelction agency leavs a message at 8:30am then it is technically illegal to call back at all for the rest of the day becuase that is considered as legal "debtor contact". If you do want to consult a lawyer, be sure that keep all recorded messages and phone logs of when their "unkown caler" status shows on the screen. If you do happen to talk to someone on the phone don't give in to any demands and record the call. WARNING! If you do record the call be sure that you live in a 1 part state - that means a state that only one party has to know about the act of a recording. If you live in a 2 party state then you shouldadvise the person on the end that you are recording the call. Most judges arepretty lenient if you record a call from a debt collector, even if you don't state that pupose, but you never want to take your chances a***nst these slime*****.
Calls a cell phone 4 or more time a day. Says his name is Joe grant and leaves a message about an important matter. Call back the number and goes into someone elses voie mail. Comes up as unavailable on the caller id
so I have received a number of calls from this company non stop same thing for a business matter and that i was going to be sued and my wages were going to be garnished I am really scared of this and have considered filing bankruptcy I had a credit card from sear who is citibank and cant afford to pay it back as anyone been sued by nes?
These people have been calling me four times a day for the past two days. And, now...they've gone so far as to call my mother's home and told her they needed her to call them about a "reference" for me. I've sent two cease and desist letters via fax and email. I'm not going to be harrassed by these people, and I'm very close to calling a lawyer in.
I just got a call from a Mike Correll stating that I opened a "50 plus preffered checking account" with National City Bank. First of all I have never been a customer of any national city bank and you have to be 50 years old to open this type of account. I am only 35. When I asked for them to send me the info via fax he said that he was not near a fax ma****e. I asked him to give me all of the info over the phone and he said that he was not able to give me this info either. But they are able to take payment over the phone!!!! Sounds like a scam to me. I told him that I would NEVER make a payment over the phone even if I owed them money, which I don't. He tryed to belittle me and tell me that I wouldn't be this upset if it wasn't true...what an idiot. I just laughed and told him to make sure that the next time someone called me about this matter that they had better have their s**t together.
I just got a call from "Michael Cook" for my husband. Says he was****igned to his case this morning.
Constantly calling my cell phone number, and even i have c****ed my last name a while ago they are still looking for me with my maiden name
I keep getting a call from michael cook from this number, anyone else
I just received two phone calls for my sister that lives across the state. I have the same story as everyone else; personal matter, NES, owe money, don't have any personal information, etc...
Drew:I have a pending case a***nst NES and one in the works. The situations are all the same. Are you interested in talking to me? If so, email me at [email protected]
It wasn't a long****ociation but it was long enough. NES let me go because I wouldn't violate The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. I refused to represent myself to debtors as an attorney, federal agent, state official, etc. Also, I refused to hollar at and berate senior citizens, which is common practice there. I had no idea what I was in for when I got on the floor because I went through three grilling weeks of training where the FDCPA was hammered in my head. I thought my job would be to work with debtors to help them out. But once on the floor in our respective departments (trainees) we were pretty much told to forget everything we learned in training and to punch these debtors in the mouth. People were put on blast for not blasting seniors. It was like night and day. I never will forget this one situation. I called a debtor and got his wife, she subsequently called her husband who called me from his work. I tried to get him to pay the bill but he was hesitant. Well, my supervisor, under his Paul Stevens alias, had the guy crying (actually crying) over the phone in less than three minutes. He told the guy if he didn't pay immediately he would have to appear in court and would then end up paying three times as much; his wages would be garnisheed and his credit ruined (a**** other nasty, false things). In short the very frightened man gave us his checking account routing and account number before the call ended.
Drew, thx for the info...I went online and saw the video !....they actually "threatened" me on the first call...I guess I'll report it for the heck of it to get it do***ented. Kinda a personal question...Why did you quit ???...or is there another reason you don't work there anymore...either way, I like your m****s and integrity and thanks for enlightening us.
Izzi, don't sweat it. NES attempts to collect by intimidation, harrassment, ridicule and false threats. They violate every tenent of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the owner of the company and his two stooges sons condones it. NES is not going to take you to court they tell people this to scare them into paying. If you dont pay they'll just keep calling or sell your debt to another junk debt agency like themselves. Never give NES your checking account number and don't tell them what bank you deal with cause they can look up your routing number. Remember that NES already has your name, address, date-of-birth and social security number; and with some banks' automated customer service systems they can call in and ascertain what you have in your account. Channel 19 News in Cleveland did an investigative story about NES 5-14-08. Check it out at: www.woio.com - go to news videos.
I've been getting calls from 4 different people from NES over the last Month 1/2....I actually do have a debt that I'm trying to settle for about 20% only cuz I don't have any other funds available and just want closure...anyway, they say the settlement has been denied and I'll be getting papers on when to appear in the mail, etc...then calls from 2 other people since that time...I'm just wondering (Drew ? ) how far they will really go...cuz I really want to just settle up...I'll let them take me to court if it means being able to make payments and get it squared away (legally and without any more hassles)...thx for any help on this one !
I recently worked at this horrible place. National Enterprise Systems is the collection agency from*****. It's the devil's worst nightmare. Employees are trained to collect according to the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act but once on the floor in their respective departments collectors are told to forget everything they learned. My supervisor, Bryan Howard under the alias of Paul Stevens, regularly provided a second voice to collectors having trouble closing collections. This idiot would identify himself to callers as a federal agent, an NES attorney, etc., anything to try to scare the debtor into paying. He would actually tell debtors and their spouses that a lawsuit had been filed and if the account is not paid by postdated check by a certain time that day a deputy of the court was coming to serve the debtor on his job. I witness this on a daily basis all day long. B. Howard is neither a federal agent, attorney nor any of the other things he claims to be and NES don't sue debtors. All are clear violations of the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act. Debtors are talked to as if they're inhuman. Even when the debtor is not home the person taking the message is treated like dirt. I will never forgot my supervisor shouting at an 81 year old African-American woman for not getting a pen and paper to take the message. "I DON'T CARE IF YOU ARE 81 YEARS OLD HE SCREAMED AT THE WOMAN." I've witness collectors hollering at kids "GO GET YOUR ***HER."You are not supposed to talk to spouses—in certain states--about their significant others’ debt unless given permission by the spouse to do so. This rule is ignored at NES. In fact when I left training I put the do***ent about the spouse rule on my cubicle wall to reference only to have it ******ed and trashed by Bryan Howard who said I wouldn’t need it. The owners Ernest Pollack, his wife, and two sons: Scott and pie-faced Chris are well aware of what is going on. These people are hands on owners. They constantly walk the call room floors, note the individual collectors and group collection sales and hear all the violations first hand. The more a collector screams at a debtor the more they like it. People actually clap and cheer when a collector goes off on a debtor. All that concerns these greedy money grabbers is how much money they are collecting at any given time.Payments are demanded in full although they do offer settlements that are too demanded in full. Money orders and mail-in payments are not accepted, only postdated checks over-the-phone or Western Union Transfers for Citi Bank accounts. Some other creditors do allow NES to also take payment by credit card. For the postdated checks debtors are asked to give their accounting and routing numbers. NES, the s***bags they are, attempts to take the money out before the postdate. Nice company huh! Collectors and supervisors once provided with bank info by the debtor call banks automated customer service numbers to obtain how much money they have in their accounts. We have their social security numbers so getting info this way is like taking candy from a baby. Some banks have safeguards a***nst this and required you talk to a live person. They also work this wickedness on debtors’ credit card accounts or the credit card accounts of the debtors’ spouse, mother, ***her, etc. I remember one collector on the phone with a debtor saying “Your Mother Has $7,000 On Her Card She Can Use;” She Can Pay This Debt For You!”If anyone needs someone who's "been there" in any of their legal actions a***nst this de****able company I’m your guy.

I have been getting messages from this number and other numbers that all belong to "NES".They are a collection agency. The calls are to a "Ken---- Eng----".They say very important that you return our call.Well,he is my exhusband and even though I have been divorced from him and remarried for 18 years, they somehow have connected me and since my ex has no phone they harass me.I have called and asked them to not contact me and I continue to get calls & messages,4-5 per week, same company, different numbers, different extensions, different people who all have "his file on my desk".
dont have a clue who dan morgan is and he constantly is calling. i am about feed up. if he is a solicitor i'm on the do not call list and it aint working.he says it is about a personal business matter call for resolution. I know there are scams to get you to call a number and they charge you thousands of dollars for making the call. I am not about to chance that
I got the same thing about this important business mater thing n when i called this number to get my number the***** off the list the two poeple i talked to were so rude. i told them i wanted my number off the list n they said ok is there anything else i can help you with. and when i said no n that i just wanted my number off the list the just ***g up. WAT A BUNCH OF ******S!!!
Same as above "calling about an important business matter. He then says so****ing to the effect of, "For resolution, please call 800-411-5317" This person has been calling me for the last couple of days asking for a Jose Lopez. Well I called them back and told them that this phone call is been recored and for the last time quite calling. Well the man on the other end got very upset and said I don't have his permission to record the call and ***g up. I'm just waiting for that Mother ****er to call a***n.
For a few weeks I have been getting the exact same call, 2-3 calls per day, that is a prerecorded message from a man claiming to be "Dan Morgan" calling about an important business matter. He then says so****ing to the effect of, "For resolution, please call 800-411-5317." Irritated beyond belief, I finally called the number but didn't leave a message when it went to a female's voice mail. Her voice mail message said that I was calling "National Enterprise Systems, Inc." When the call comes in, my caller ID shows "unknown caller."
they have called my office looking for and saying that they have a personel complaint not a business one , what heck is that all about now they are saying they are Micheal Steel , these people are so rude and go the the extreme of even bothering you at work
