Leave a CommentCalled with the last 4 digits of an old credit card and wanted information on current status. Pretended to be from Bank of America.
Absolute scam - gift card - Zelle all fraud
ABSOLUTELY AND POSITIVELY SCAM!!!
This number is now no longer in service.
Problem with my Apple device and don’t access my banking or personnel finance until I let them map my device.
BoA Fraud Department - they saved me some headaches
I have been getting these phone call, they never leave a message. But I do not have a B of America visa card. It sound su****ious.
Legit BOA fraud number.
This is the fraud department at bank of America. I got a voicemail from them today, saying there was su****ious activity on a credit card account. I called the number on the back of my card, and they verified that yes, this is a legitimate BofA phone number. Its also listed on their website (but you have to look awhile to find it). if in doubt, always call the customer service number on the back of the card.... then you know for sure you are speaking to the right people and its not a fraud / phishing scam
Spsm
This is a legitimate phone number for the fraud dept of Bank of America. Of course you shouldn't take my word for it so call your local B of A ***nch and have them confirm the validity if the number.
checked with B of A. this is a legitimate number for their fraud dept.
It IS Bank of America, it's legit
I called the number on the back of my credit card instead of the number on the piece of mail. So im thinking spam.
Legit. Bank of America Card Services.
This number is definite fraud. Upon calling I was immediately asked for my full credit card number and my name both of which I refused and ***g up.
This is Bank of America fax ma****e.
search for this number on this website. It is BOA#.http://www.bankofamerica.com/creditcards/index.cfm?template=faq.
My mother received a message on her answering ma****e on Friday, September 25th from someone named Alex who said he was with the United Bank of CA, but gave 1-800-427-2449 as the number to call. When my mother called the number back, she spoke to a person who claimed they were questioning some possible fraudulent charges on my grand***her's Platinum VISA. They had his name, but called my mother as she controls his finances. Several bills in my grand***her's name go to my mother so she was thinking it was a legitimate call. Except for the fact that my grand***her doesn't have an account with that bank. The caller then asked for my mother's social security number which of course she did not give out. They also asked for the full credit card number.
I received a letter on funny looking Bank of America, asking me to call 1 800-427 2249. The letter said that they may have detected fraud on my account with BOA and call that number or sign on to www. myfraudprotection.com to ensure uninterrupted use of this account.
Just got a call from this number. I called the number on the back of my BofA Visa card, and it was legitimate. They were calling to check on what looked like (but wasn't) a su****ious charge.
