Leave a CommentThis is a real Dell number but is often s****ed by the scammers. I could see them obtaining lists of computer users phones but likely they just dial random numbers.
Dell customer service. They just don't leave messages. You would think with all these robo calls, let us know who you are.
Silence on the line. They called me twice. I placed a Dell order the previous day, so it could be Dell. However, no message was left. I picked up and said*****o, silence on the line.

Reading the comments from everyone... theres o one that sticks out (over and over a***n). Their first comment defending Dell (and English not their first language) was tagged using the spam number (OOPS). Then they got smart and s****ed c****ing it up (to an iPhone user). Either way, their defensive tone is the same every time they try to convince you this is a legit Dell number; even provide some "good experiences" as examples, so you will pick after reading this. Mentioned "I dont know why they asked for your social security number." To this person...YOU ARE SUCH A DUMB****, but PLEASE keep calling me...my attorney says I will get $1500 for every single fraudulent call you have made to me.... and I'm up to $12,000, as of today! Cha ****g$. That's an American expression. If you dont know what it means, look it up...or you can call me & I'll gladly explain it to you, for another $1500. Keep it up and I'll be OWNING DELL.
Dell customer service.
Did place order with Dell. They called both landline & cell phone but left no voicemail.
Called to make sure my order was as it should be. Left a voicemail.
Not spam, courtesy call from Dell

This was from Dell.
Not spam. Dell customer service dropped my call and called me back from this number.
Dell CS. Not spam.
Dell customer support following up on a service ticket
Coincidently I did order a Dell. However no message was left. I order a fair amount of Dell products and they always have used email with their internal tracking numbers for status. I consider this call su****ious.
silence on the other end

Dell calling to give me the status of my refund.

No spam. Dell follow up. Wish they would leave messages.
Dell costumer service doing a followup on an order I returned and the status of my refund
My phone number was most recently registered in the National Do Not Call Registry on August 28, 2011. This number called me: 1/30/2012 // 12:14:43 PM;
It was Dell
It's a legitimate call from Dell. They're trying to follow up on their customer service. Good for you, Dell.
noone on the line. ****** loud music. ran for over 3 mins. before I could delete. called back 2 mins. later.
I received a call ye****ay from this number.... it was indeed from DELL. They were calling to let me know that the printer items I had ordered the day before would be arriving the next day (meaning today) between 1:00 to 4:00 pm and that someone needed to be home during that time to sign for the package or I needed to leave a signed note on the door to let FED EX know that it was OK to leave the package on my front porch, which is what I did. Frankly, I appreciated being notified by DELL about the package delivery so I would not miss getting my ordered items right away. They called a bit ago (from the same DELL number) to verify that I had gotten the package. I told them I had and all was fine with my order. Their calls were a help, not a problem, at least for me.
This really was a Dell number. as a buyer I deal with them daily. I rec'd a call and returned the call and this number is****igned to my sells rep. I do know they should not be asking for SSN #'s regardless though.
8004563355 "Hi this is Nicki from Dell calling you back on the voicemail you left me. If you could, give me a call back today to answer the questions you had. My number is 512-..." and then the message cuts off. I did not leave Nicki a voicemail, I do not own any Dell products, nor do I have any Dell related questions for Nicki.
Received a call from 800.456.3355 claiming to be from Dell. Asked me to call back to confirm my shipping address for the new dell I bought. 866-383-4713x4161307. Fantastic customer service!! Nice try a** hats I didnt order a dell.
got a call from this number at 9:43 pm on my cell phone! The guy actually left a message saying that "our call had gotten disconnected while we were working on the problem with my computer and I needed to call him back"... Bull, to s**** with I don't even have a Dell computer and was not on a call with anyone from Dell to work on it!!
I received a call around 8:50p from this number according to Sprint caller I.D. There was silence on the other end.
Do not know who called. This is an unlisted number they called
I received calls from this number and was unable to pick up at the time. had contacted tech support for a dell computer a day or two earlier for an issue for a new computer. My memory was running at 1066Mhz. I ordered memory at 1333Mhz. Tech support confirmed that the bus s***d on the motherboard couldn't support the faster s***d. This means dell is deceptively selling stuff on it's website. advertising fraudulent claims. I also have a "pending" charge on my credit card since i called tech support. This computer is one week old. There is no possibility i ordered anything else whatsoever on a credit card with a zero balance on it this statement. I have a recurring 40 dollar charge every month and the minimum payment jumped to 25 dollars. 3 percent or 10 dollars??? This means there is an approximate hold on my credit of about 8 ***dred dollars. I used to love dell. While i still think they have good products, I will never do business with them a***n. They need to seriously reconsider their business practices before it runs them into the wayside of technology. Selling my stock before it drops.
..well my odd phone call s****ed with " we think you have a corrupted file your computer'...and I said 'thank you I'll have my technician look at that' . The number did not say Dell...it was 800-456-3355. I called Dell and asked them about the odd phone call..they said it was someone from Dell alright...trying to sell me an external hard drive. What a sales pitch!!! This isn't the first call I got from a sales man from Dell. Another time they called to tell me I won a $100 gift certificate. Then he went on to say I would win it only if I purchased some type of Dell accessory. What a hoot!Beware!!!!
I placed an order on-line with Dell. About 15 minutes later my phone rang, since I had my hands full I ignored the call but it immediate began ringing a***n. When I answered it was Dell (****ladesh?) calling to confirm the order. They asked me for my shipping address and email addy, which I gave them, then for my middle name which I thought was kinda strange since I don't use it or my middle initial on my credit card, but I gave that to them as well. Then he asked me for my birthdate. I asked him why he needed that and he responded to confirm the order. Well, that was that. There is no earthly reason why Dell would need my birthdate...maybe the credit card company to confirm I was the card owner...but not Dell. I told the guy I had no intention of giving that info to a stranger (at this point I was wondering if it was even Dell) and if that meant that they couldn't process my order, so be it, and ***g up. Afterward I looked up the number and found this site, so it appears it is a legitimate Dell employee but I still see absolutely no reason why he would need my DOB or my middle name for that matter. I was going to call Dell the following morning but before I could, I received an email confirmation that my ordered had shipped. May still call them and complain. With my full name, address and DOB (had I provided it), you have all the makings of iden***y theft. Maybe the guy works for Dell, but I still found his questions su****ious...and apparently unneccessary since my order shipped. I can't help but wonder if maybe the employee might be doing a little iden***y theft on the side.
It is truly a number from Dell - following up on orders, parts, etc.. Sadly, like so many customer service & support positions, it's been moved overseas and so there is an issue with language - while they speak English, it's not (generally) their first language and their accents can be a bit ... thick. They called to follow up on a warranty parts replacement recently.
there is a website that provides the service of allowing anyone to call you from any number. the website claims it is for "entertainment only", but the existence of this website means that scammers can call you from what appears to be a legitimate business phone number. do not trust that a phone call is legitimate when someone is asking for personal information. take control of your call and call the company yourself.
This is a Legitimate number for Dell Small Business services confirming their shipments. they must have called wrong numbers for those of you who did not order anything.
Received a phone call from 800-456-3355. Asking for Suzanne where there wasn't any Suzanne at my phone number. I****umed it was someone trying to scam me, and after reading one of the comments, I appear to be right.
Received a message from 1-866-228-9620 claiming to be Dell Financial services/Verification Dept Claiming they had an order from me. I ignored it figuring it was some kind of scam but then 2 days letter received another call from 1-800-456-3355. Called back and got through to a woman who informed me that I had ordered a digital camera. She then asked me for my Soc security #. I of course laughed at her and told her that Dell or any legitimate business would never ask for SS# over the phone and ***g up.
I received two calls from them. They never left a message. I don't even own a Dell Computer. Never have.
Multiple calls from this number.
