Leave a CommentThis number is being used as part of a phone extortion scam where the caller claims to be from National Grid who will shut your electrical service in ten minutes if you don’t buy an untraceable Green Dot payment card and give them the card registration code as payment for a supposedly unpaid bill. If you take the bait, they will call you back and tell you there was a mistake in your payment that you have to correct with a higher payment made in the same way. There will be two to four people you will be made to speak to. Please note this number was actually a National Grid number. **** up on these people and report the problem and all phone numbers used to you local police.
