Leave a Comment12/6/2009 Last week I got a call from this number for the first time..........they called from Maricopa Police Dept. that guy was keep pushing me to donate atleast $100/50 to the Maricopa Plice dept. PHX,AZ. After he was saying so many things i got lil nervous and gave $20 using my Credit card........ and on the same day i put my phn number in DO NOT CALL list....... hopefully they don't call me a***n........ from now if i get ANY ****** call then i will go ahead and file complain to FTC (Federal Trade Commision)........... for all of you who don't know...... please have the company's name, the person called you his/her name & ID #, and the phn # that they called you from........... before complain to FTC. Found two charges on my 81-year-old mother-in-law's credit card with this phone number on it. One from National Police Athletic ($30) and one for Committee Missing Children ($25). What a scam.
My mom's visa bill showed a large donation to the Florida Law Enforcement Games. Not so****ing she would normally care a lot about supporting. Fortunately, in a couple of weeks she moves in with me and i can hold on to her card.
It was a fundraising call from another "badge fraud" solictation targeting the elderly - this time from the American****ociation of State Troopers in Florida. Fortunately I have email alerts every time a charge is made on my mother's card. I called immediately to cancel.
