This is a debt collection agency; they have now called my cell phone, which is (or was) a violation of the federal law - not supposed to call cell numbers. If they persist, I'll be looking to file a complaint; there is a monetary penalty for doing so, although I'm not sure how much proof you have to have to collect.

This number calls with a recorded message everyday for a person that is not at our company and never has been. The company name is ERC and they are a debt collector. It is so annoying! Our lines are busy and it is a waste of our time.

Their calling me every hour on the hour! Ticking me off

They have called my phone, six times. Spammer not doubt, but really tired of it.

They called me a bunch last year, when I finally answered they asked for Ryan ********.  I explained that they had a wrong number and they promised to remove my number.  The calls stopped briefly and now they are back to calling 2-3 times a week.  Very annoying.

they are irritating. you can turn off your ringer, keep it on vi***te so you wont miss the important calls, or block all but the important numbers during your work shift. My neice has all calls blocked except her daughters during her work shift.

They are a debt collector and keep calling my cell phone for the previous owner of that number. I have had that number for a year now and even though I've answered and told them I am not the person they are looking for, they keep calling and calling. I am not supposed to get cell calls at work and everyone who has my cell number knows that. They, of course, call several times during my work hours and could get me fired. I can't turn off my phone because I have a terminally ill husband and parents in their 90's. If they need to reach me for an  emergency, I need to get the call.

These mother f***ers are a scam they just want ur money don't call my f***in house a***n. F*** outta here go somewhere else with that bu***hit.

Same as above. This phone number calls me every single day. They leave message for wrong person.When I pick up the phone, I told them it is a wrong number and to remove the phone number, they laughed and just **** up. Since then I ignore the calls. It seems like they have no ***in to listen to people who tell them that it's the wrong number!Very rude and annoying. There should be restriction for call harassment!

About a month ago after broadening my job search, many of the job posts that I responded to ended up being scams.  This was the same time that I began receiving a recording from 800 496 8612.  The recorded message is a woman's voice which states so****ing about obtaining information.

Called my husband and me several times daily. No message. On callback, loud music or garbled s***ch.

If they are a collection agency acting as third party they can't "come to you house" ot threaten you in any manner...they MUST tell you the name of the company etc . They in no way can make threats that they do not intend to do such as litigation or wage garnishment. You have a right to sue them for violation of FDCPA.  I know this I've been a debt collector for 5 years now. Not all of us break the law and treat people bad. If it truly is  a wrong number just tell someone calls will cease. if not be an adult and resolve it. Its that simple.

It is a debt collection agency.  They have called mea lot too.  I just called them back - gave them my cell number and found out someone had used my cell number a a contact.Very helpful people!!

I just had 800-496-8612 call and asked for Gary. It wasn't a recording, it was a real person. They also call from 800-496-8916. I believe it's the same company. At least once a day to every other day they're calling.

I keep getting this call and i get this voice message stating - Collection agency trying to collect the debt. I am quite sure it is a spam. Dont know how to get rid of this

i GET THREATNING CALLS FROM A GUY WHO SAYS THAT HE IS GONNA SEND SOME1 TO MY HOME (GIVES THE ADDRESS) TO TAKE ME TO COURT. I CALL BACK AND THERE IS A PICK UP BUT NO ONE SAYS ANYTHING.

County) filled a report on our behalf, along with the person's name the agencies are calling for.  The police can't really do much, but it protects you and puts the collection agency on notice that they are "wrongfully" harrassing a private party that has nothing to do with the case they are trying to collect on.  We have had to do this every time a new collection agency takes over trying to locate this person.We have been dealing with our mystery "dead-beat" person for five years!

It is a debt collection agency.  They called me trying to collect on a debt that was already settled and was filed as a theft through the local police department.
