Got a text from [email protected] saying to call this number for Bank of the West. I don't have Bank of the West. Pretty obvious scam.
I received a text message from "BankOfTheWest," where I have no account (and never have). The text message came through "[email protected]"--I don't use aol, so this looks really fishy. I also disabled my text messaging several months ago and no one but my phone company can text me, supposedly.
I got the same message with no Bank of the West account. I cannot see a way that it could be legit.
I got a call today, a message left on my cell phone, asking for my Bank of the West account information, as they were "limiting my account". I don't have an account with them (Bof the W), and if I did I'd never give that kind of info over phone. It's just a scam to get into folks bank account, but thought leaving a record of it was good for those who don't know better.
Most likely a scam, because I do not have a Bank of the West account. It said my debit card has been limited and if I want to use it a***n to press 1. I ***g up.
yes, the text claimed to be a "message" from my email account from my bank - when I called this phone number they answered as my bank , told me my debit card had been "limited" and please enter my debit card number (I could not get a human being) their was no email from my bank when I logged in.
