I'm pretty sure it's a debt collection agency that does debt collecting for electric/gas/energy companies.

I keep getting calls from this number, 800-507-4275. They also call my husbands cell phone. I looked it up on the web. It is a scam! , with 100% Spam score! I called them back and and acted like I didn't know why they where calling me. They tried to get my address, my bank account number and or a credit card to pay a utility bill, which I have never had in New York. I have never lived in New York! I told the person on the phone that I knew this was a scam and they hung up! Report them to the BBB in your local area! I did. Call New York and report them there as well. Hopefully the calls will stop. Someday they will be caught! Crime does not pay!

Called my cell number I just had turned on the 13th of May. I haven't given the cell no. out to anyone yet, including my girlfriend! The person stated it was an effort to collect a debt, but did not reference a particular debt that I was said to have had. Sounded like a phishing call to me.

This is a number that has been calling me everyday for the past month or two. Its a recording with the name of "robert anderson" "calling about a utility in the mail" Its retarded how do i get rid of them?

THIS #1-800-507-4275,CREDIT SERVICE CALLED ME ABOUT A BILL I HAD WITH CON EDISON. I PAYED THE BILL WITH A CHECK 4/31/08 THEY JUST DEPOSIT THE CHECK ON 03/27/09 CAUSING ME TO HAVE A OVERDRAFT ON MY BANK ACCOUNT. CAN'T FIND ANY OLD NOTES ON THIS COMPANY.

I get a voicemail from them. They say "agian that number is 1800....." I just delete the message.

a person by the name of robert anderson calls my wife relentlessly about autility bill that we knpow nothing about and is harrasing her by telling herto pay as much as she can but when we call back the number he provided fo RUITHE NUMBER ID DISCONNECTED

They called me to "collectra debt" then kept me on hold for quite some time. I have regular credit reports and no outstanding debt. This is very odd.

Caller identifies himself as Robert Anderson and a letter sent to us regarding an electric bill.  We've received several messages, mostly on our recorder.

I got a second one from them.  Sounds like a debt collector and she left no other reason for the call.  It was not even for me so I am not calling back to have their problems directed at me just because I use this number."This message is for {Receiver}.  My name is {Caller}. I can be reached at 1-800-507-4275.  Extension {Number}.  Reference number {X}."

I just looked up RUI Credit Services online.  I don't doubt that they are a real business, they are located in Long Island, NY.  BUT, the contact phone # they list is 800-356-7402, not this phone number people are getting calls from.  I say do not trust it, might be someone phishing, pretending to be from RUI.  And if you really want to call back, call the # RUI's website lists and see if they really contacted you.

Received an automated voicemail from this company.  The beginning of the message is either cut off, or all is says is please return my call, leaves the phone number and a reference number.  Seems like a scam to me.

I have gotten 2 calls with an automated voice on the voicemail saying it is for a utility bill. I have no idea what that could be-- "Robert Anderson calling about a letter mailed about a utility"

This number called my cell and left a message regarding a utility bill and that i should call them back. I don't believe them. pls beware once you get this number

I do not know anyone at this number. I do not know why I keep getting calls from RUI credit company. My credit is impecible.

I've been getting calls repeatedly, and then some, from this number. It is indeed a collection agency, and the name they were looking for when I called certainly wasn't me (small surprise considering I haven't had this number long).I'm curious if maybe some of their clientele don't just throw out random fake numbers to throw off the collectors... doesn't exactly benefit those of us who hold those numbers, eh?

this number is shady.  someone deposited money right after i moved from my address, into an insurance account i closed 2 years ago with my old address.  the name was mis-spelled, and the person from "RUI" called me with the wrong name but right phone number.  i think it's identity theft.  beware!

I just got a new cell phone and the number called me too. I answered it and it hung up about 5 seconds after i answered it. I looked it up online and it is a debt collection agency for companys such as Nstar. It is based out of new york. I geuss whoever had the cell phone number before me had some debts?

called my house twice, once a week and left a message "This is Robert Anderson calling in regards to utility letter mailed out to you. My number is 1800-507-4275. When calling back please include this reference number" and left a reference number.did not call backif this is from RUI i've had them call my house before and play dumb when i called back

ive been getting this phone call pretty frequently, about once a week and i don't owe any money to any utility companies or anyone else. it's very sketchy. but it is a collections agency called RUI, i called the 1-800 number back.
