I've been getting calls from this number as well.  I just pick up and immediately **** up a***n.  I'm hoping they eventually get the hint that I'm not interested.

Woke me up about midday(I work nights), will not tolerate this! Did not answer, by the way. Judging from the other comments, this is going to be an ongoing problem.

Just call your phone company and ask them to block the number.  If you already have caller ID through your local carrier, you may also have a call-blocking feature available as well.

I understand they are getting around call blocking by calling themselves a charity. Have not enswered their calls, but they have tried 10 times in the last three days, three times today, SUNDAY!

Called me several times daily for the past few weeks. No Caller ID displayed, no message left on answering ma****e. I should be able to opt our of ALL solicitation calling - no exceptions for charities or political organizations. This is an intrusion.

I received a call from this number asking for my husband (by his first name).  I told him he wasn't available and asked to take a message, he said no and ***g up.  In ND.

Someone called with this number. They asked for my boyfriend by name and I said he wasnt here and they just ***g up. Very weird. Im also in ND.

Just got a call from this number, but didn't answer. From the responses above, I looked up the website of the ND Fraternal Order of Police, and on their FAQ page at teh bottom it states:"The National Fraternal Order of Police does not conduct telephone solicitations. However, ND State Lodge does solicit donations and some local FOP lodges do. If you have a question about a telephone call you received requesting that you make a donation to the FOP, Please contact the ND State Lodge at (701) 320-0240 or send an email by clicking here."

This number popped up on my caller ID while I was out. Answering ma****e was flashing but no message was left. When I tried to call them back to verify, there was no answer, which is exactly what they'll get next time they call!

800-526-0276 has been calling 2-3 times a day for weeks! Very annoying, I've certainly got better things to be doing then run to answer the phone to this robot.  NO ONE answers when I pickup, so I can tell them off! If a charity, I certainly will not donated to anyone using this NAG SERVICE!

I keep getting this call.  Once when I checked it on the internet I got the name cha haoba jamesqi for this number.  When I submit this name to the internet I get no matches.  I have caller ID so I have never answered them.

This number called me. called back, no answer. I'm in ND.

I received a call from this number at 3:45PM on 4 Oct 2009.  I also live in ND.  There was no one on the other end.

This number called my parents house and asked for my 16 year old son- he was not there, when I called the nuber back, no answer.

They've been calling here for years, even though they've been told numerous times (sometimes more than once a day)that we have NO MONEY to send them (most recently explained to them a month ago). Called twice more today after being asked this morning to please stop calling. Is this extortion?

I am on the do not call list.  They called at 845 pm during family time.  They don't answer when I call them back.

They called the other day asking for my husband by name, I stated that he was not here at the moment and I heard burping noises and then a sigh of relief and then they ***g up.  I live in ND.  I have no idea who this is or what they want but that is just disgusting.

I answered and they ***g up! Called around 1:00pm. Our number is registered with the do not call registry so I'm irked.

Just had a call, rang about four times, no message left.  Didn't call the number back. This is ND.

Another one of those "there is no problem now with your credit account, but..." scam calls. Their message asks you to dial a "1" if you want to be removed from their call list, but we all know what REALLY happens when you dial ANYTHING on these calls...! :(

A lady called my house and my daughter answered. They asked if she was home alone. She told them no, but they insisted she was. This is very alarming. Is there anyone else to contact as this is crossing the line for me.When I called the number back there was no answer.

Them called me and never left a message on my answering ma****e. I can print up my caller ID that's how I know they called. All that came up for name was Toll Free Call.

I would guess the scammers are smart enough to know the legit charity they are trying to represent. Thus they look to see if there is local charity number and address they can refer to in the call.  I would first call the 701-320-0240 number and explain to them that you are getting calls from a 800 number who is representing themselves as their charity and confirm or deny if they use a telemarking company and if they do which company do they use and from what number do they call.

I've had this number calling for the past several months (in ND).  Up until the last call, if I answered there would be no one at the other end.  I presumed that this was an automated dialer that was testing for active numbers, ones that were answered by a human, so I stopped answering.The last time I received a call from this number I answered and the man on the other end claimed to be with the North Dakota Fraternal Order of Police seeking donations. I told him that I'd be happy to help and then asked for his name and contact number so I could get back to him once I'd verified the validity of his request with my friends in the state police dept., he ***g up.

This number was calling me repeatedly and would always **** up.  I would try to call back and there would be no answer.  I reported the number to the "do not call" list several times and it actually quit calling for a while.  It called back today for the first time in a while and I answered and someone was actually on the other end.He said he was collecting for the North Dakota Fraternal Order of Police.  Not sure if this is true or not.  He gave me his sales pitch and asked me for a donation.I said "Well, I would have considered it if this number hadn't been calling me and repeatedly ****ing up on me.  For this reason I will NOT be making a donation, and you can take me off your call list."  Of course he rudely ***g up on me.  Typical reaction.However, he did give me the phone number and address of the Police Order before he ***g up.Not sure if he really represented them or not.But the # and address is:701-320-0240PO Box 1993Bismarck, ND 58502If I get another call, this is the number I am calling back to complain, or this is the address that a nasty letter will be written to.Feel free to do the same if this 800 number keeps calling you.

There should be legislation that stops anyone from calling and stops the charity and political calls also. I get these calls all the time and so does my 84 year old mother.

I have the same number call me on a regular basis.  I wouldn't be surprised if the company that makes the call is connected with one of the reverse number look up websites that pop up when you do a google search on the number.  How to prove it, who knows, but it could simply be another way for a website to get someone to click on their site.  It would be nice to find a way to track them down.I work for a global phone company, but not the one that serves my residence.  I will do some digging and see what I can find out about these people and report back if I find anything.Joe.

Well after comments from other blog sites that report boggess 800 telephone number scams, I thought I would post a message and tell you that they have struck in Montana (where I'm at) Iowa and Ne***ska.  Looks like they are after the northwestern states.  Many of them stated that the caller is with a childs charity, we are told they are collecting for the "***ernal order of police".   When I tell them my numbers have all been listed as "do not call", their excuse is that they are a charity and the "do not call" law does not affect them.  This really ****s because they are the biggest pain in the *^*%#@ and biggest illegal telemarket abuser I've ever experienced!

This number calls several times, everytime I answer there is no one there.  I even waited on the line for several minutes to see if they **** up or so****ing yet the line remains "live" until i disconnect

How do I get this number to stop calling?
