They have a caller id****ociated with Direct TV but are pulling a spam offering if you buy an Amazon gift card and prepay 4 months of DirecTV your bill will be reduced for the next 24 months. I called DirecTV - this is a scam! They tell you to call the DirecTV billing dept at 888-201-8989 which is not a legitimate DirecTV number.

Non-stop calls! I answer, they don't say who is calling. I knew it was Directv by the #, but they just keep auto-dialing. Over it!!!

I was called twice today.  Picked up both times.  It was an automated message from DirecTV confirming that they received my cancellation request and were sorry to lose me as a customer.  I never requested cancellation.  The first time they called, I called back to verify their system had not cancelled my account.  There was NO record of it.  I ignored the second automated message.  There's probably a glitch in their system.

I tried to call this number back and it says the number has a new over seas number  you can call them at 1010****8000  well bull **** on that and it says we are trying to reach you and its important  but you dont get to talk to anyone unless you all out of the country imagine that....... Stop calling me!!!!!!!

Keep getting constant calls from DIRECTV I canceled my subscription in May and want a box to send back the receiver and each time I ask for prepaid box we get into a heated argument saying they turn my service on and want$$$$ for use of their service.I don't want it and I'm not paying for a service that's not hooked up or working.They are noyhing but a rip off to senior citizen who live in a RV Park.I paid for the receiver out of my pocket from a outside contractor.Give me back my $300.00 for the use of your equipment.If not stop calling.

It is direcTV calling to make sure you are happy with everything and to give tips on how best to ****mize your service (what ever the***** that means).  It is automated, and if you want a live person, you can call the number they provide in the message.

Just call at rang 5 times then I answered and no one there.

That number just called here.  When I answered, they ***g up.  From what I see on the internet, it could be Direct TV trying to get us to upgrade our original equipment.

This number calls me several times per day and does not leave a message on my answering service. On my caller ID it shows as "Toll Free Call".

when this number calls me it is some debt collector with bogus info trying to get me to give them my ssn, i have never had anything go into collections, my huxband decided to call it back last week and it ended up going to DirecTV dont know how it happened so i tried a***n today myself after i got the wierd call and the same thing happened to me i dont know whats going on.

This DIRECT TV each time this number has come up, they wanted to confirm or reschedule an appointment. They called yes****ay to advertise and tell me about the package I have.

The first thing they asked for was my social security number and birthdate. When I refused to supply my social they asked for "atleast the last 4 digits". They said I owed money for service from 1989-1990. Here's what's wrong with this: 1. I've never been late on my bill in the 8 yrs I've had DirectTV. 2. I didn't live at my address in 1989 or 1990. Not even in the same state! 3. I didn't go by my previous Married name they asked for until the late 90's. In 1989-1990, I was still going by my maiden name and hadn't even met my first husband! 4.Di­d DirecTV even exist in 1989?? 5.If they called me why would they ask ME to verify my iden***y and why didn't they have MY phone number on record? I've only been married 1 month so why would they call my new husband's phone for me and how did they even have it on record? 6. I just got a call from 1 800 531 5000 about twenty minutes ago. I let it ring and then checked voice mail. There was not a message so I don't know who it was from. Can't be anything important because if they really needed to talk to us they would have left a message and a phone# to call them back. Must be a sales call.
