Leave a CommentCalled relative and was very rude to an old woman. Called and immediately received voice mail for the office of "John Bell". That is obviously phonetic, but that's all the message says.

Okay ***ps, here's some facts about these telemarketing "s*******ers". -When a telemarketer says that they are calling on behalf of a company, what it really means is that they he/she is employed by a different agency that has a contract with the company that they are calling on behalf of. There are many reasons that these "bottom-feeders" do this, but it is my personal opinion that they employ this ****od of deception so that if you phone either one of the companies in order to complain about any "unprofessional behaviour" by one of their employees the person on the other end of the line can just "pass the buck" and blame the other company (who if you phone will likely place fault on the business that you called in the first place..... *******s!- If you ask for the name and contact number of the telemarketing company (not the company that they are calling on behalf of) then legally the telemarketer must give this information to you-As mentioned above you can ask to have your name removed from the telemarketers list (what is not mentioned is that when they phone and you answer you can request this procedure directly to the rep rather than having to call them back) If you do ask to have your phone number removed then your request must LEGALY be honored within 72 hours (which the telemarketer does not necessarily have to tell you....unless you ask). -If this does not work, talk to your lawyer..........or if you would rather not be bothered by a time consuming legal appeal............................................................................................................................I kind of liked MacGregrrrr's idea above LOL ;)-But if you follow these simple steps, you should be able to get these "leeches"off of your back. Hope this helps, email me with comments PLZ :([email protected] remember that the telemarketer on the other end is probably as oblivious to any "scam" type solicitations as MacGregrrrr's elderly relation, and that they are merely a paid representative doing their job. quite typically a telemarketing company goes through contracts with their partner companies quite quickly, which is probably why some of you may have been contacted on behalf of more than 1 company, but from the same phone number. REMEMBER-unless the person on the other end is rude or pushy, it's wrong to get angry or lose your temper with them, save that for the C.E.O (thanx MacGregrrrr)GOOD LUCK!sincerely,Sammy "Slick"
These people call and pretend that they are a collection agency what do they think i am ****** i owe nothing
They called more than once asking for my 17 year brother saying that they were a collection agency and that he owed money he doesn't even have a drivers liscence, job or sin card so how would he owe anything. Action should be taken a***nst these people.
Got a new Rogers cell phone and the calls from 1-800-539-1226 s****ed right away. I get several everyday and will take steps to have the number blocked. I am also about to begin a fax campaign that I will continue with for months.
I get calls from this number everyday! I added my phone number to the do not call list that apparently takes 72 hours to add... lazy ****s... they called me a***n today when I wasn't here... it hasn't been 72 hours yet.
I've been getting at least one call a day at the office where I work for about 2 or 3 months, I FINALLY got the number and called it back, it was a recording explaining who they where ICT Group, and then gave me the option to be added to the Do Not Call list, so I did. Hopefully that will be the end of it. Everytime I answered it was silent for about 10 secs then disconnects, very frustrating.
i got a phone call from that phone# and they were asking for (so and so) and when i told them (so and so) wasn't ho****ey asked if there was someone else that could aswer for them and when i said no i was about to say when (so and so) would be home and they ***G-UP ON ME!!!!!!!!!
Answer the phone, wait 15 seconds and no one answers. I receive calls like this 3 - 4 times a week. Very annoying when I'm working with expensive equipment and have to run in case it's an important customer calling.
Ooops - sorry - forgot to mention:Their voicemail recorded message states their office hours are (only) 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday to Friday (EST?)However ... it still costs them money if you call their 1-800 numbers, no matter when you call ...Happy dialling!(oh, another thing - don't you just hate it when you answer the phone and it's a fax ma****e or modem ... and you get that squealing noise in your ear ... and it's always "a mistake" that somebody made when they were dialling out on their fax or modem ... did I mention it costs money every time somebody calls in to a toll-free 1-800 number ... ??????)
I've discovered that with the benefit of some Googling and patience, it's sometimes possible to obtain the cell phone number of the CEO of some telemarketing companies ... (can you say "turnabout is fair play" ...?)Last time I phoned a CEO to discuss why his company was pestering my mother (who's elderly and lives in a nursing home), lo and behold ... it was 6:00 a.m. in his time zone (California!) ... and the icing on the cake was ... when he asked me "how I got his phone number" ... !!! ... (Duh! It was on his press release ...)www.ictgroup.com - scary - their website even claims they're fastest-growing BPO in ... The Phillipines ... (jumpin' Jiminy! ... talk about "outsourcing" ...)Yup - the previous post was correct - it's "The Devil" calling ...P.S. (when you call a "1-800" number, it's free for you but ... it costs them money ...)ICT World Headquarters100 ***ndywine Boulevard Newtown, Pennsylvania 18940 USA800-201-1085
A man calls me regarding BMO Travel Insurance. I'm not interested. Now I get 3 to 4 calls a day from this number which I do not answer.
I've been getting calls from this # on my cell phone and it's both annoying and expensive. I don't answer and they don't leave a message. When i called back from a different phone, the message says that it's ICT Group or ICP Group and that they're a marketing company, and that you can press 1 to have your # added to the do not call list. I didn't do that because that will confirm that the number they've dialed randomly is a real number. I'll have to use another "do not call listing" service to hopefully stop this invasion of my privacy.
received cal from 800-539-1226. One of many in the past six months..its a scam as far as I can tell..I dont answer anymore..
this is getting me feel prety much harrased.when can we be free of peoplelike this......telemarketing.....i do not wan to know
I receive a call a least 4 times a day from this number...I don't answer the phone, but I still have to go the phone to see the number come up. I am getting very angry. If they wanted so****ing they could leave a message...
Got a call from a rude woman, and she was asking for the buisness owner, when I told her I was the****istant manager, she still very rudely asked for the owner, and how she could get in contact with them. Like I'm gonna give away their number to some person who didn't care to identify themselves, so I gave the number to another store that my boss's owned. When I gave her the number, she just ***g up. I was angry at how rude that was. So I dialed *69 and this number showed up.
Woman said she was from Wells Fargo and they were going to offer me $100,000 line of credit for my busines because it's credit history was so good. Yeah right. I said that if that's the case why would I need a line of credit?Didn't stop them, they called a***n next day (yes****ay) but I didn't answer. I'll try Boe's ****od and see if that works.
woman:*****o, can I speak with [my name]?"me: Who's calling, please?woman: The is [woman's name] calling on behalf of Wells Fargo, is [my name] there?me: Just a second, I'll see. There was a delay of about one minute. I was at a retail till with a customer, and set the phone down until I had completed the transaction. When I picked the phone up a***n the caller was gone.
1.800.539.1226 This is the Devil calling you and I would strongly advise anyone who receives a call from this number NOT to pick up.I'm warning you or you will simply become a tool of the Devil.
I have received calls from this number twice. No one says anything when I answer the phone. I called the number and apparently it belongs to ICT Marketing Group(telemarketers). Maybe the silent calls are a test to see if the number is valid??Anyway, I added my number on their "Do Not Call List" - we'll see if that works.
I just got a call from this # at my office, they asked to speak to the owner but I told them he wasn't here. I decided to block my caller ID and call them back and the message says that it's ICT Group and that they're a marketing company, and that you can press 1 to have your # added to the do not call list. I did this and it says that it'll take 72 hours for them to add my # to the list, hopefully it worked.
I just got a call from the number. Someone asked for me but I answered with "He's not home," (couldn't be bothered with any sales pitches). I'm pretty sure it's a telemarketer.
