Received a letter saying CT filed a tax lien on my property in the amount of almost $20K. This is not my first rodeo with spammers so I immediately googled the telephone number on their letter to find out it was a fake.
Official looking letter but totally not real. Beware!
Got a letter sent in the mail looking very official from the government. This number was listed as the contact number. But it's all fake. The wording is very close to official, but different enough that they won't get in trouble for it. It is a business, not the government, don't call
There was no information connected with this phone number. I called this number- 800-547-6827 because I received a letter stating they were the Federal Tax Authority looking to collect on a lien filed a***nst me. When I asked the person who answered who she was, she had an at***ude and accused me of being rude. I explained that I making sure this wasn't a scam. She informed me that they were a private law firm but didn't give me the name of the firm and was being evasive. This is a scam.
