Leave a CommentThis company made a fradulent charge on my bank account.
Fraud is the fist thing I think of when it comes to this number. It's linked to a company that made a fraudulent charge on my credit card. HSBC gave the $9.40 back but says it's to small of amount to try and get them for fraud and that if they do it a***n they will look into it. (probably because its one of their own companies)
$9.45 like everyone else; showed up on a bank statement with this 800 number on it, debited on 6/20/08. Called my bank, initiated the dispute process. I was asked if I filed a police report (good grief; no) and if I would be willing to file charges if the "individual" was arrested (for $9.45; no worth my time). The bank has canceled the card and is reissuing a new one in the meantime while the dispute is researched.
$9.45 just like above. I'll call my bank on Monday and report it. Looks like reports of this scam ("EST Company", FL, sometimes with a different phone number) have been floating around the internet since at least November 2007. I'm surprised it's still going on.
Had a charge for $9.35 on my credit card. Called FTC, state attorney general. Credit card company would only tell me it was an electronic sales co with radio, television and stereo and that it was probably a phone charge. Couldn't get the address out of them. Since there's no address, attorney general said they couldn't do anything about it? Outrageous that the credit card co. didn't really care. Cancelled entire account and will never deal with this credit card co. a***n. Please call FTC and complain. They keep track of how many people call.
phone, did the same thing to me, there non-stop calling even though there was no problem.
I also found a $9.45 charge on my bank statement, which I monitor closely. I am in the process of disputed the charge, but this is obviously a scam. The listing shows EST Company out of Florida, and is a charge onto my debit card. I called, received an automated voice-mail box, left a message, and have yet to receive a call back.
bill collectors are so DUMB. dont they realize that if we had the money to pay our bills they wouldnt be calling us. DUUUUUUUUUUUH!
Caller did not indentify herself. very rude and refused to speak to me or give me a supervisor. Did not say she was calling for collections
I didn't get a call but my checking card was charged in the amount of $9.40 by that phony company EST COMPANY 800-554-8147 FL.I never use my debit card to buy online nor let anybody use it...what's going on? I might sound silly to fight for ******t what if it was more? Please fill a complaint at www.myfloridalegal.com Somebody has to investigate the company...
***ody answer. Just ***g up.
I also found a $9.45 charge on my bank statement, which I monitor closely. I've disputed the charge, but this is obviously a scam. The listing shows EST Company out of Florida, and is a charge onto my debit card. I will close my account to be on the safe side.
Called 4 times in an hour. Only letting it ring 2/3 times then **** up.
My situation is exactly the same with the exception of my charge being 9.40. I am also disputing the charges and they have already removed it from my account. I have had this credit card for many, many years and I have only used it in the last several years on my iTunes account. I'm closing it now, though. Sounded like my credit card company had seen this many times before.
I have also noted a charge from this so called EST company. My bank said it was an electronic store and I am disputing the charge. They were able to give the 1 800 554 8147 phone number. As many others it redirects to a voice mail and cant seem ti find any other information on the en***y.
This number appeared on my credit card for $9.45 as EST Company 800-554-8147 FL.I think somewhere in Florida. My credit card cleared the charge as a one time deal, but can't keep it from appearing a***n so I have to keep a close look every month.
I had the same experience as those above. A misterious charge for $9.45 appeared on a credit card that I had not used in a long time. I had no recipts or recollection of this transaction. I notified my credit card company, who provided me with 800-554-8147 as a contact number for this EST company. I called, received an automated voice-mail box, left a message, and have yet to receive a call back.
Same thing happended to me. Got a charge for $9.45 on credited card from EST Company. Called # and only got voicemail stating to leave message. Called CC and they can't give me anymore than on web statement. Tried to google company and only got some place out of France. I am disputing charge and getting a new cc. Hopefully people aren't justing paying this off and getting *****ed into paying them for nothing.
Exact same thing as AB and Caleb. Disputing the charge. No clue what this is and no evidence on the web. Considering contacting the DA.
Same deal as CalebJC14 - a charge popped up on my CC for $9.45 and all the bank could tell me was the 800# that went straight to voicemail. I'm disputing the charge. Another scam. I'm sure they wait to see who gets a new credit card and who doesn't and then uses the #s off the ones that don't.
This number showed up on my credit card statement for a charge of $9.45. I have tried many times to call this number and it goes to voicemail? I have spoke with my bank and it comes up at EST Company, which after many searches has yielded not info.
i am tired of this number calling me time and time a***n. back to back
This call is from Pioneer Credit Recovery, a collection agency owned by Sallie Mae. Their callers flirt with the boundries of legality, particularly when it comes do disclosing required information (amount of debt owed, etc.). Also, they have represented themselves as "calling on behalf of the Federal Government", which they are most certainly not. You are obligated to pay your debts. Work directly with your creditor, not with collection agencies.
I also received calls from this number. and I do not a a oustanding debt. When I ask for the company name the caller would not give it. They said I had a debt from about two or three years ago for about 400.00 on a credit card with whchova b ank. I never had account with this bank. but i said it could be my son with the same name. i said I would call my son and have him call them. One day later I get a call from my doughter who just received a call from her motherinlaw who lives in Pa. different last name. They got me nuts doing that. I will be looking into what I can do to put a end to this .
Call recieved. Was told to hold for important message. Call ended.
WellStar is also a health care provider, it is usually an appointment reminder
This is a Debt Collection Agency and they call us about 4 times a day every 2-3 hours all week. I'm no annoyed and originally went through a Debt Settlement company for the account they call us on but refuse to do any business with the people we refer them to. Threaten to sue if they continue to call.
This is number wont quit calling me. Two days in a row what can I do to make them stop? Who are they?
This number calling us evey day at 8:00am. Don't have no idea what to do.
This person calls himself Craig Morgan on my answering ma****e, however he has also called himself 'Dan Morgan' and 'Tom Jones.' I have received calls for at least four months now. Additionally, the calls come in about 3 times a day (even on Sunday mornings at 8:00am). However, I am not speaking to a live person. Even if I pick it up to tell them to stop calling its a recording. The caller also states that it is regarding a "very importan personal matter."
I successfully got these ****s off my back by sending a certified cease contact letter w/ return receipt. For less than $5 at the post office, you too can be set free!!! Good luck!
Got 2 calls in the last 2 days and googled the number and found this. Same story. Claims they are a lawyer (Mr. Miller) but gives no details. It'd be interesting to find out if any of them are lawyers. If not someone should file so****ing a***nst them as I believe pretending to be a lawyer is a federal offense.
They called on my cell phone and I answered. No one said anything on the other side. I said*****o twice but no one there. I tried calling it back and no one answered. So them b***hes call me and I tried to answer but they can't dish out their own heat?
Bill paid!
Called a***n, left message, only got phone number, not calling back, fraud
Here we go a***n, couple of years ago I was called by this number saying that a bill wasn't paid. They figured that my name was John Hilton, saying that THEY had the wrong person, I asked what address they were looking for and they gave me a address that could not be found in Toronto. The address was say, 419 Goodroad East. When I looked up the address, there was a say 419 Goodroad West, but no 419 Goodroad East. This company must be making money somehow off of people. Is it the phone company perhaps? When you check your message that these frauds left? Hopefully the fraud squad will nip this in the bud.
I just recently bought a new truck and it's financed through Capital One, but when the legitimate company calls it says "Capital One Auto Finance" (abbreviated) on our caller id Thanks to Google I found this message board by reversing the phone # BE CAREFUL! CALL THE REAL CAPTIAL ONE AND REPORT IT!
This number called me and when I answered the man identified himself by name and not with a company name. He was looking for a former neighbor of mine. I was curious about this and asked how he had gotten my number and why he wanted to contact my former neighbor. He replied he had searched for numbers of people in my neighborhood and that he had handled financial matters for my former neighbor. Very shady indeed. At the end of the conversation he said that the conversation may have been recorded for Quality****urance which didn't set well with me and I questioned this, getting no proper response.
Actually, you are the ****** one since you don't know that these lowlife collectors call people who have no debt in random fishing attempts. Telling them they have the wrong number rarely does any good since they are bottom-feeding s*** and too ****** or lazy to check their facts or take a number out of their auto-dialer.
I have missed about ten calls from this number, I never answer because I do not know who it is and I don't have long distance. I wish they would stop calling though, it is annoying to get 3 calls a day I have to ignore.
This call came about 7:40 pm for Doris Minear, my daughter, The caller said his name was Mike Thomas and that Doris has a lawsuit filed a***nst her. He wanted me to call her immediately. --actually suggested we get on a three way call. I told him I'd have to **** up to call her and asked for his number. I also told him that I might get her answer phone but I would give her the message. WE have had emails telling us their was a judgement a***nst me but further down the screen we realized it was just advertising.
Just received a call from T**** Allen saying it is a civil matter which has criminal consequences and papers could be filed if I don't call.
