Leave a Commentthat was a call from Gold Key Extended Warranty. They told me that even though i have passed the milage when you are eligible for this warranty, they will make an exception. Not sure if it was a scam or not, but the guys never let you any chance to get a softcopy of the contract upfront to review and want you to give the credit card number and everything else. so i had to **** up. This number was given to me, as the number to call back.
About a extended warrenty for ca***ian auto warranty services
Same thing happen to me today. They called, the call display showed (916)219-8163 and he pressured me just like he did to mau. I did give him my address but nothing else. I thought it was a scam right from the beginning. They also gave me the 1 800-559-0408 number to call back, but guess what - I am not. Thanks for everyone's postings regarding this number.
They called me last night Dec 30, 2008 and asked me how much kilimeters my car has driven. I told them 108840 and they asked me a few questions more and encouraged me to buy their warranties. Somehow I felt wrong and told the woman that I needed to talk to my family, but she kept pushing me to give her the VIN number. Finally, I gave her the number as well as my credit card number. When my husband back, I told him what had happened and he searched on the websites realizing a lot of complaints about this Ca***ian Auto Warranty Services. I called them this morning, and told to the lady (***ndi) and wanted to know their "return policy" she asked me a lot of questions why I wanted to cancel it. I told her I did not trust their agency, and she kept telling me all the allegations were correct. Then I talked to a man (Jeff, I believed). I told to him about 10 minutes and finally he asked me "Have you ever eaten McDonald's? Becauce if you keep thinking there is a little wrong with so****ing, then you may not buy anything any more." I was on the phone for more an hour trying to get their "return policy and terms of condition", but failed. It was a very stressful and ****** experience.
I had the same letter as Wedge above. The letter is signed "John Walters, General Manager". Of course, nowhere does the letter indicate what company he is General Manager of. The letter asks me to call in my "exact kilometers and VIN Number". I own a Toyota and a VW, and neither dealership was the source of this letter.
I too have just received that call and.. welll... had a great chat - they are Choice Warranty based out of St. Louis Missouri - target all car owners 1990 and newer- they want your credit card # and then they will send you a policy for 30 day review.THIS IS NOT GM OR YOUR VEHICLE MANUFACTURER CALLING-CHECK WITH YOUR DEALER IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS REGARDING YOUR WARRANTY - UNFORTUNATELY THERE IS NO WAY FOR THE DEALER NETWORK TO STOP THE CALLS -BUT IN CA***A THERE IS WWW.PHONEBUSTERS.COM IF YOU THINK YOU ARE BEING SCAMMED - CHECK IT OUT - I TOLD "JEFF" AT CHOICE THAT ALL MY CUSTOMERS ARE!!CHEERS
I just received a letter saying my car factory warranty is about to expire. Interesting that I don't drive or own a car.
These calls are now spreading through-out ***mpton, Ontario as well.
-Tuesday Sept. 23, 2008, I got call from 1-815-418-2030.Did not answer the phone. Thought at the time itwas set up by Mr. Nelson Cashen of 3-178 Nepean St.Ottawa Ontario K2P 0B6 (as this is the kind of thing he's been doing to me lately), but failedto report at this website (benifit of doubt).-Thursday Sept. 25, 2008, I got a post card noticein the mail. It reads;Ca***ian Auto Warranty Service******x 456Niagra Falls ONL2E 6V21-800-559-0408And it also has a 10 digit Customer ID # **********-Thursday Sept. 25, 2008, at 2:30 pm I called the 1-800 #on this card. The man could not direct me to anotherdepartment. He could not tell me how I was signedup for this (web, email or telephone). And, I have not owned a car for 20 years. ATTENTION NOTE...AN INTERNET SEARCH SAYS THESE PHONE # ARE A COLLECTIONAGENCY.I have never had any credit cards and don't have debts, yet Mr. Cashen has convinced collection agencies thatI owe money. It's him that has too many credit cardsand owes thousands of dollars.
