they keep calling even when i have answered and it is dead air what is with that
my thought is that if you are getting calls maybe you should find out what they want & then it'll stop. Just a thought.
Everybody goes through bad times sometimes... the best thing to do is pay the bill - or call them back and make payment arrangements - ask if there are any options. Don't be a coward... The worst they'll say is no. But you need to be realistic that if your credit card debt is thousands of dollars, $20 or $30 a month isn't going to even pay the interest on that debt. When a credit card goes delinquent, whether it's 2 months behind for $30 or $300 it's reported to the credit bureau as a late payment... And then people are all confused because they are like - "it was only $30 that I owed why is my credit rating so bad?" The answer - because there is a due date for a reason - it establishes a habit of on time payment history and if you can't understand why a creditor like a mortgage lender or car loan place would consider you a risk if you are always late well then - be prepared to always pay higher interest rates on everything you borrow - you did it to yourself... At the end of the day - you need to choose whether you are willing to risk your financial future and credit rating on attempting to outsmart a creditor. The most terrible thing you can do is stick your head in the sand and think it'll go away - by the way - the Collections Agencies Act applies to Collections agencies, and that's after an account gets charged off - R9... Attempts to contact someone who owes money does not cons***ute a contact - and calling and ****ing up on an answering ma****e is not considered a contact... Educate yourself and answer the phone. BTW - there is no "list" for collections - that's for telephone solicitation. A place like Ca***ian Tire would be covered under the Bank Act as they are indeed a bank.Oh and BTW - occasionally people get new telephone numbers - and old ones are reassigned. It is NOT ILLEGAL to dial a wrong number. Consider this - if you personally lent someone $1000 and they said, yeah I'll pay you back every month by the 15th, and then - they stopped - wouldn't you call them and try to get your money? A lot of people think - well hey this is a big corporation my $1000 won't matter - it can add up. If every person who had credit didn't pay their bills - what would happen? Here's the example - what's happening in the US right now? Homes foreclosing, banks running out of money, interest rates skyrocketing, and lending costs going up - the result of a credit card happy society, high risk lending and poor recovery on unpaid debts. IIf you are in that dire of straights - perhaps credit counselling, or bankruptcy is what you should consider - at least that's taking responsibility. In all reality there are only two reasons (despite what people say in all these credit forums) that people don't pay their bills... They can't or they won't. Which are you?
I kept getting calls from this company and had never heard of them before. I called them back because everytime I picked up the call went dead. After rea****g a very RUDE customer care rep, I was told that someone left my phone number as a contact number and I live in Missouri. I have had my phone number for 8 years and never had an account with them. They wouldn't tell me what it was in regaurd to and would't take me off the call list until I told them I was going to turn them in for fraud. Was taken off the call list yes****ay and I'm still getting calls from them. Watch out for this company, they don't validate and confirm their information on their accounts.
It's definitely NOT Ca***ian Tire or any company. Someone just called me from that number and it was an individual.
I got the same kind of call. They keep calling and i just ignored them. I eventually answered and there was a recording. It says that the call is for...and if it is press 1. After I hit one, it says that there is an overdue amount of <$ amount> and if I have paid it, hit one, if I will in the next three days, hit two, etc. My advice is to just hit one at the first prompt and then hit one or two...if you hit two, they will recheck in three days. This will keep them from calling for a while. I hate this card just because of this reason. It was worse before though because they used to have a person come on and then you would have to explain why you missed the payment, when you would make the payment, what you were going to have for dinner, if your kids were getting good grades, etc. They would talk to me for five miutes sometimes. They will also call for any amount oweing, I had a balance of about $30 once. The latest time they called me, i hadn't even missed a payment.
This is Ca***ian Tire, they wanted to increase our interest to 25%, I said no, and cancelled the card immediately. Since then, not being a customer of theirs, they call on average 4 times per day, usually a verbal threat of harrasment charges if they continue make them stop for a bit, be persistant, there are laws's to protect you from this abuse of collection power they think they have.
They call but don't leave a message. However, 3X a computerized male **** voice said:If you are this person, Press 1. If not, press 2. To hear the name a***n, press 3. How crazy is that!! What name - they don't leave a message and never say a word. Have no idea who this is.Call from 8:30 a.m. to 9:15 p.m. sometimes 12X a day.
I paid my other card by error on my online banking, I always pay on time. One late payment in 3 years and they are calling me twice a day and they also frozed my credit card with a 300$ due, ok. I understand Ca***ian Tire, I will cancel that credit card as soon as possible, will never a***n have a Ca***ian Tire credit card and I encourage everyone to do the same.**** Great idea this WhoCallsMe? Web site.
Yup CT - wanting thier payment - it's pain tho as the person they are looking for doesn't live here! - but they are convinced we know how to get ahold of them... we have their old number!! That's it. ug...
This number calls our house every day and we ignore it. it gets really annoying as it calls at 7 am and after.....
It can't be cnd tire.. I've never bought anything fromthere lol
If it's truly a debt collection agency, then they should follow a code of conduct and not call over a billion times a day.In Ontario, unless you've received a written notice requesting payment, they have no right to constantly call you.http://www.gov.on.ca/mgs/en/ConsProt/STEL02_045978.html
For the love of heck Collection agent grow up and learn what you are talking abou****'s a lousy payment...and yes mango you have rights when it comes to collectors. Answer the phone and tell them that you want all future communications be done through snail mail. Also depending on your provincial laws. Any more than 3 attempts by them in one day is considered "stalking". And never give them an inch..talk mouthy back with them. They will never sue you or attempt to classify wages from you. It will cost them too much in court fees. (Lawyers are expensive).
Yes this is Ca***ian Tire calling you.. Pay your bills and you wont get a call! Simple isnt it. As for mango you answered your own question... "i'm only 30 dollars past due for 1 month and i have another 5 days to pay it before it's two months late. lame..." Does that even make sense? at what point in time is it ok to be 2 months behind in your bills???? if it was rent or mortgage do you think that your landlord or bank wouldnt phone you? "oh its ok we have lots of money" yeah thats the way the world works...I will leave you with this statement.. Pay Up ****a
Ca***ian Tire looking for their money you owe them
Called at 8:39am. Didn't leave a message. I was a week late for my payment (If it is Cdn Tire). What a waste of Cdn Tire's operating cost
yeh that makes sense...though i don't know why they'd call, since i'm only 30 dollars past due for 1 month and i have another 5 days to pay it before it's two months late. lame...
It definitely is Cdn Tire, my payment was late after Christmas as well lolThey do not leave a message on voicemail which is odd
It's Ca***ian Tire Financial Services looking for your payment!
