chronic unsolicited calls on my cell phone, leave no message. When called back to request to be taken off list, an automated voice informed me it would take up to 30 days to remove my name. I get charged for calls. I only answer people I know and don't want to be solicited to by some idiotic company who has no manners.
Very annoying.
ICT, they called me everyday on my cell. Sometime even 3-4 times per day. I don't know from where they've gotten my number.
these people call me in the middle of the night.if there are company that should be closed dwon these should be the 1st
These people call my cell ten times a day. I want it to end.
called me 3 times a day for last 2 months.
I stopped answering, and since 8am they have phoned me 4 times. Its only 11. They phone 9 at night, 7 in the morning... completely incessant.. and all it is for is some global market research and they won't release how they got your number. I removed my number from their list... it is an option if you call the number back. They say it takes 30 days to remove, but it has been over a month and a half and I'm still recieving calls from this "ICT" company. Fortunately I have a block on my phone, but at the end of the day it shows how many calls from this number were blocked, and yes****ay it was 9. Absolutely ridiclous.

The following is from the CRTC website and explains Dead air calls Dead Air CallsConsumers may also receive a telephone call where no one is on the other end. These calls are often the result of so****ing called "predictive dialing". Some telemarketing organizations use automatic, or predictive dialers to place telephone calls or send faxes. A "dead air" or "**** up" call will occur if a telemarketing representative is not available when the call is answered by the consumer. Generally, companies allow sufficient time between calls for a representative to be available; however, if the telemarketing representative is on another line longer than expected, the result is "dead air". These calls are also referred to as abandoned calls.

This number calls my house multiple times every day. They don't talk, the phone just is silent. Very annoying.
They are phoning many times a day. If we all hit redial on their 1800 # repeatedly at least as many times as they call us, we can not only tie up their phones but cost them money in the process. These pests needs some consequences.
They call me every month. They just asking my name & when somebody said not available then they cut the line without replaing.
five to six times daily to my cell phone.
SEVERAL - and I mean SEVERAL - times a day these useless sh*theads call me. No message is left. I'm on shift work, and on a number of occasions they have awoken me... which makes me just a tad cranky. Hi! They also call my place everyday. When I answer the phone (to tell them to take me off their list) no one answers..no matter how long I stay on the line, no one answers me back. What's wrong with these people?
they keep calling and ****ing up
i only wish i could reach through the phone line and punch this person in the face, they call every day!
Asking for my credit information
asks too much personal info usually impersonating a bank
I have had 4 calls from this number in the last hour If it is a telemarker I want to have it stopped
The caller of 800-566-8064 has called sevral times. My caller ID displays the number and caller is 'unkown'. I do not bother to answer the phone....and they do not leave a messege.
I recieved several calls from this number....800-566-8064, in the last few weeks. They leave no messege. I do not bother to answer the phone. My call display identifies the caller as ''unkown name''.
called 4 times in a morning, just bad
i've only answered this one once and it was a very pushy man trying to get me to sign up for long distance with HBC. He would not take no for an answer so i just ***g up. we don't answer that number anymore
The past two weeks, I get 5 to 10 calls from 800-566-8064. I never answer. It' ****in' me off. Leave me alone already. I have no interest in what you're offering! I'm gonna call the number from a pay phone one day to see if I can figure out how to stop it, and so my phone number isn't given back to them via caller id.
Its ICT at theast thats what it says when i called back, they appear to offer credit card protection but have nothing to do with you bank, if you call the number back you get a recording after they blab a bit you can get your number taken off the list
Never bothered to answer. They call several times daily, 7 days a week. A real pain if you have to get up to see who's calling and it's a telemarketer.
Is courtesy call from Ca***ian Tire. Plain old marketing.
Just got a call after 11:00am on Sa****ay, ma****e picked it up no message was left. Called back to have my number taken off. Got a recorded message that their hours are from Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 8:00pm. This is Sa****ay, not within their hours. Very upset they are calling me outside of their own working hours.
just call their number (1 800 566 8064) and it will go to an answering ma****e...hear them out...then press 1...dial ur number..and ur off their call list!!!!
try to block the number!...I did and it worked. :)
2 times in two days but never leave a message. i called back the number and got a ma****e that said it was ICT group, fortune 500 company marketing group. the voicemail did give me an option to be put on the "do not call" list and i then had to enter my phone number. i did enter the number and fingers crossed that it worked--but if not, i guess i was on their list anyways.
I have been annoyed non-stop with this phone number. Who ever is calling just cannot get it. It rings up to 20 times between 5 to 10 times a day, there should be a law a***nst that. It invades my privacy. If there is a way to get rid of it, PLEASE ...let me know.
I am using an Asterisk PBX that picks up all 800/866/877 numbers and plays the famous, "the number you have reached is not in service...". I also log all the calls, and here is how persistent this number is."18005668064","2008-03-24 16:05:31""18005668064","2008-03-24 16:39:49""18005668064","2008-03-24 17:09:12""18005668064","2008-03-24 17:31:06""18005668064","2008-03-24 17:52:06""18005668064","2008-03-24 18:32:18""18005668064","2008-03-24 18:49:17""18005668064","2008-03-24 19:06:17""18005668064","2008-03-24 19:28:53""18005668064","2008-03-24 19:44:17""18005668064","2008-03-24 20:58:28""18005668064","2008-03-24 21:18:28""18005668064","2008-03-25 21:04:32""18005668064","2008-03-25 21:36:08""18005668064","2008-03-26 16:00:51""18005668064","2008-03-26 16:35:51""18005668064","2008-03-26 16:55:33""18005668064","2008-03-26 17:31:38""18005668064","2008-03-26 17:54:38""18005668064","2008-03-26 18:51:55""18005668064","2008-03-26 19:16:31""18005668064","2008-03-26 19:37:19""18005668064","2008-03-26 20:57:48""18005668064","2008-03-28 18:46:22""18005668064","2008-03-28 19:08:58""18005668064","2008-03-28 19:33:39""18005668064","2008-03-28 20:59:50""18005668064","2008-03-28 21:23:20""18005668064","2008-03-28 21:35:32"You can notice the 12 calls on the 24th, and sometimes 3 calls in that same hour.

Tips for Handling Telemarketers Three Little Words That Work !!(1)The three little words are: 'Hold On, Please...' Saying this, while putting down your phone and walking off (instead of ****ing-up immediately) would make each telemarketing call so much more time-consuming that boiler room sales would grind to a halt. Then when you eventually hear the phone company's 'beep-beep-beep' tone, you know it's time to go back and **** up your handset, which has efficiently completed its task. These three little words will help eliminate telephone soliciting.(2) Do you ever get those annoying phone calls with no one on the other end? This is a telemarketing technique where a ma****e makes phone calls and records the time of day when a person answers the p hone. This technique is used to determine the best time of day for a 'real' sales person to call back and get someone at home. What you can do after answering, if y ou notice there is no one there, is to immediately s**** hitting your # ****on on the phone, 6 or 7 times, as quickly as possible This confuses the ma****e that dialed the call and it kicks your number out of their system. Gosh, what a shame not to have your name in their system any longer !!! (3) Junk Mail Help: When you get 'ads' enclosed with your phone or utility bill, return these 'ads' with your payment. Let the sending companies throw their own junk mail away. When you get those 'pre-approved' letters in the mail for everything from credit cards to 2nd mortgages and similar type junk, do not throw away the return envelope. Most of these come with postage-paid return envelopes, right? It costs them more than the regular 41 cents postage 'IF' and when they receive them back. It costs them nothing if you throw them away! The postage was 39 cents before the last increase and it is according to the weight. In that case, why not get r id of some of your other junk mail and put it in these cool little, postage-paid return envelopes. One of Andy Rooney's (60 minutes) ideas. Send an ad for your local chimney cleaner to American Express. Send a pizza coupon to Citibank. If you didn't get anything else that day, then just send them their blank application back! If you want to remain anonymous, jus t make sure your name isn't on anything you send them. You can even send the envelope back empty if you want to just to keep them guessing! It still costs them 41 cents. The banks and credit card companies are currently getting a lot of their own junk back in the mail, but folks, we need to OVERWHELM them. Let's let them know what it's like to get lots of junk mail, and best of all they're paying for it...Twice! Let's help keep our postal service busy since they are say ing that e-mail is cutting into their business profits, and that's why they need to increase postage costs a***n. You get the idea!If enough people follow these tips, it will work ---- I have been doing this for years, and I get very little junk mail anymore.
It is 9:09 pm and they just made their 12th call today. I would like to **** these *****s!I am positive that they are contravening regulations governing telemarketers - - how can they possibly be allowed to continue??
I have read quite a few posts about adding one's name to the "do not call list" on the offending caller's return number option. I am extremely skeptical about doing this....I have not heard if this really works, or if doing this just adds you to a "confirmation list". I did see one post somewhere where a person ended up getting 10X more calls afterwards. Kind of like responding to the "click here if you want to be removed from our spam list" in a spam email. Does anyone have any positive experience with having placed their number with ICT's do not call list?I have been receiving between 8-9 calls/day, and when I do answer (hoping to tell someone to leave us alone!) there is only dead air, and then a disconnect, never a person to talk to. If so****ing is so important they have to call 45 times in 5 days, why the***** isn't there someone at the other end when you DO pick up?!!!!
It is ICT Group used for marketing. You just call the 800 number and add your phone number to their "do not call" list.
I can't tell how many calls I got from this number in the last 3 weeks...They call at any hour of the day until 9:00PM. When I answer there is only silence and then the connection is dead. I answered once and the caller said he was calling on behalf of CitiBank to offer me protection on my credit card...I don't even deal with CitiBan**** Try this: answer and leave the line open or answer and **** up right away.
DON'T answer when they call!!! They tried to get me to divulge my credit information posing they were calling on behalf of my bank calling about credit protection. They actually said, verbatim "we are calling on behalf of RBC", I contacted my bank immediately with this number and company name and they confirmed this was a fraudulent call, my bank does not outsource****istance through this company and advised me to never respond to any calls such as this. They knew my full name including my middle name, which I never use. Be very careful. These people have called multiple times each week, I just finally answered to get them off my back.
This number is calling me every hour this morning alone. My call display shows I've been called by this number 15 times!!!
I have received 11 calls from this number...so far. Whoops - just got another one and it's 8:45 pm. From the ***dreds of comments online, I gather that this so-called firm is (mis)respresenting themselves as agents for many different financial ins***utions - I've seen Mastercard, CIBC, Bay/Zellers, RBC. I suspect this is a telephone scam designed to collect personal information. Lik they said in the X-files: "Trust No One", people.
Yeah, just got a few calls from them too ... I finally answered. It was MasterCard trying to sell me some "credit" protection.
I had been getting phone calls on my cell from this number probably 3 times a day for the past 3 weeks. At first I just ignored them, but these guys are relentless! Finally I called my cell phone provider and told them that I was getting unwanted telemarketer calls from this number and they said that they will get my number removed from their list. Only time will tell if this works...
