Received a charge for 8.99 on my Visa card statement. When I called the number there was a message that said the number was not in service.

I was charged 8.99 on my credit card by this name and number. I have no idea why . Ihave no idea who this is.

No call.  $8.99 VISA charge posted 7/31, rec'd yes****ay.  Cancelling card today. Amazing that this just goes on and on.

Same thing going on with me.  $8.99 charge showed up on Visa last month. No phone call was involved.  So far the Bank is looking into it.  Hopefully SOMEONE will shut this number/people down!! My Visa has a temporary block but I was advised to just close it and open a new one.  It's a shame.

Also found an $8.99 charge on my VISA made on July 30th with the 800-572-5389 phone number.  Did not receive a phone call, just a bogus charge.  Currently working with my bank to get it resolved.  Registered a complaint with the FCC about Harry Dean but not sure if that will result in anything.

I got the $8.99 charge 8/11/08.  Bank is investigating as fraud.  This has been going on (the "Harry Dean" scam) since at least August of 2007.  Check out whocallsme.com.  Read the mssgs on that site.  Tons of people have been ripped off by this a**hole.  How long is the law going to let this go on????

I got the $8.99 charge from Harry Dean on my visa 8/11 with the 800-572-5389 phone number.  Bank is treating it as a fraud.  Having researched this on the internet I am finding that this has happened to a lot of people.  God knows how many people didn't notice the charge or ignored it.****hole is getting rich off of hard working people.  They need to find him and cut his ***** off.

so this has been going on for over a year and no one has figured it out? that is pretty sad, i just got a charge from harry dean on my statement for 8.99 7-23-08 , obviously visa does not take this seriously or it is so****ing they do on purpose to push you to buy iden***y protection... i am calling my bank in the morning and closing my account, it is a visa debit card and i received no phone calls from anyone.

Saw a charge of $8.99 on my credit card account with a description of 'Harry Dean 800 572-5389 FL'. I have made no purchase in that amount and when I called the number there is no identifying greeting, just a recording that said "if you want to leave a msg Press 1 for a fax Press 2". I've left a msg but don't really expect to receive a call back. Now I have to go to my bank and sign an affidavit and get a new card ordered plus I see at least one other person has complained with this same issue.

I looked at my bank statement and there was a $8.99 charge on it. I never ordered anything.

Yeah I have this charge pending on my account right now and the lady at my bank said I had to call the fraudulent line after the charges come out of pending status and that my bank would credit the funds back to me.  I'll give it a **** and see what happens and if I get my money back.  I guess its time to get iden***y theft insurance such as lifelock.com.  These guys just dipped right into my account might as well thrown my wallet at them.  Very disappointing.  No call, no sales pitch just helped themselves.

i will never buy anything from harry dean. they should be lible for this.

I too got a 8.99 charge on my Wellsfargo account with Harry Dean Book Store in Miami Fl. that i did not charge anything to and got the automative voice saying leave a message when i called the number 8005725389 givin on my account statment that was charged without authorization.  I had to Cancel my Credit Card and my Bank will be doing a Fraud Investigation on this.  I hope they get the ***** F***ers.

No call, just a $8.99 charge on my credit card.  Called the 800 number and left message but no return call.  Called credit card company and rechecked my files to make sure there was no purchase.  Called credit card company and was linked with Fraud Dept who took information and immediately cancelled my credit card. They are sending a packet of info with forms for me to fill out.  Seems this has been happening for a long time. Why aren't police doing so****ing ?  When this happens, we have to contact all autodrafting companies and auto pay accounts which is time consuming.

I have a charge on my corporate credit card for $8.99 to Harry Dean, 800-572-5389, FL.  I am disputing the charge.

I also have an unauthorized charge on my credit card from this number. When I call it, an automated voice says to leave a message, with no identification given. I am going to have to call my credit card company about this. From the other reports on the internet about this, I****ume that this is a scam.

I never called this number.  Somehow my bank card was charged $8.99.  Why work for a living when you can get rich in cyber crime.  I'll file a report, like that will do any good.

I received the charge on my visa but didn´t receive any call! The charge was made 7/23 Harry Dean 8005725389 FL 8.99. I´m from Argentina!!!!
