Received an automated call from "Rueben Shwartz" - "not a sales call".  I called back and asked for Rueben.  The operator s****ed asking me questions (what was my name, what number received the call).  I did not give her information, but then asked who they were.  She put me on hold.  I then ***g up.  Hopefully that is the end of it.  We'll see.

Rueben Shwartz called a***n and I called the 1800 number back to it. I was so angry. A woman answered the phone and was very sketchy and would not tell me what she wanted. They all sounded black--not Indian. I called back and a black man answered the phone and asked me for my phone number and then said he was looking for Lisa Emms. I'm of course, not Lisa Emms and this is a prank call. WHAT does he want? How can this company be in business? He said "this is a personal matter for Lisa Emms," and he wouldn't tell me anything else. I asked for my number to be removed and he said "It has already been removed." I recorded the call and if they ever call me a***n, I will report them..

Just s****ed receiving calls from this *&&^%^%$ Monday 1117/08. I am not calling back. I have gotten 5 so far and it's only Thursday. :-( I am filing complaints wherever I can.

Altell gave me a recycled phone number and this guy and others are constantly calling. The other calls are people leaving a message for the previous owner of my phone number. Altell verified that the name the messages are for is indeed the previous owner of the number.

Pretends to be an attorney

Annoying call, he kept asking for me to return the call because it was an "important matter" to be discussed with me. First, I don't have any debts, and sometimes they'll call using a different number.

I had a message on my phone from this number.  Caller ID said "Leading Edge."  It was the same message Cheryl above reported with Ruben Schwartz, not a sales call, etc.  I dialed the number just to see, and a lady answered, asking if I was somebody I was not (a different name ~ she must have known it from my caller ID as I didn't even say a word).  I said "no, that person does not live here and I have never heard of her."  She then asked me if I was on a certain road here in the city where I live.  I told her, "no, I live on ***** road."  She then asked a***n if I was any relation to this person (we had the same last name).  I told her, "no," and she thanked me and ***g up.  Hopefully, that's the end of it?!?  We'll see!!

I've been getting periodic messages from Reuban Schwartz about an "urgent matter." I do not have any debts, and I****ume they have the wrong number (this has happened in the past). Should I return his call to ask that we be removed from the list?

Someone 10 yrs ago had the same phone #, and also had bad debts. We are constantly harrassed by calls, asking for a person by the name of Dawn. They keep telling me that they will remove the number from the list. WRONG! We have had this number for 6 yrs. We have been harrased for 6 yrs.

I received an automated phone call from Reuben Schwartz the other day on my work cell phone; I'm not sure how they got this number-- probably via some illegal and/or underhanded means. I let the call go to voicemail and "googled" (800) 608-5429; this number is apparently for Leading Edge Recovery Solutions, LLC ... a debt collector. (As far as I'm aware, I don't have any bad debts-- I'll have to verify my credit report.) Once I found their mailing address online, I sent them a "stop-call" and a "dispute/validation request" letter the very next day-- Certified, return receipt requested (CRRR). I hope that this information helps whomever reads it to effectively deal with these various bottom-feeders...

S****ed getting calling a***n from Ruben and ****-up Inc., after I thought they had given up. Let's s**** a "Dial-Tone Revolt". When you get a call from Ruben or one of those 8** ****-ups, s**** calling that number over and over a***n for about 2 or 3 minutes, busy or not, just hit redial. And when someone picks up, **** up. Then hit redial and s**** a***n. If you and all the other people on this site do this say 2 or 3 times day, it will be their wallets that will hurt. Just for ha ha's record Rubens message and when soneone answers, play it back, then ****-up.

Ruben has s****ed calling A***N!!  Wonder what would happen if we all s****ed returning his call ALL AT ONCE AND ****-UP? It's an 800 number so it shouldn't cost us anything, but it may cost hime AND his phone line would be kept so busy no call could go out. Just had another thought, record his message and whenever anyone answers, play it back to the and then **** up.This would work as long as everyone spends a couple minutes two or three times a day. Keep them too bust to bother us. And it would make you feel good getting even.Heck do the same thing to those 8** numbers that call and ****-up.Sort of a "dial tone revolt".

i have never picked up the phone when "reuben schwartz" calls and i let it always go to voice mail. the number of calls i get is beyond annoying. no live person has ever called and its always a recorded message saying its reuben swchartz and he has in important matter to discuss with me and its not a sales call. this company is driving me crazy...both the number of calls and the inappropriate times they call. when they call a***n i'll answer and see what they say...

Just had this call today.  ID said "toll free 800-608-5429" and that was it.  I let the ma****e take it and usually they **** up when the ma****e answers.  This one left the "Ruben Schwartz" message.  I was going to call back but I didn't call back for fear of it being those "call-back" scams where you return a call to the "1-800" number and get charged $500.00.

Sales Call

We have been getting call from this Stan Shank. He is not nice at all. He is also call a 90 year old man and his wife. Yes****ay he call them and told them that he had a few men out side of their home wat****g the place. Put him in a panic and we had to take him to the hospital last night. (he has a heart problem and had open heart surgery) this has to stop. The person that he is trying to get a hold of does not live with his grand***her or with his parents. We have told him this time and time a***n but it does not stop (Stan Shank ext-1302) My son has been working with another nice lady in the company. I do not want this man call any more. If so****ing happens to my ***her because of this mans calls, then i will come after him and the company. The numbers that he is call is 217-328-1696 and 217-344-8225, yes we are related but James P. Barden pays his own bills (not the hole family)

Called it back, said his name was "Robert Carmichael." When he repeated it, he stopped to remember which name he was using. What a joke. I do not have debit he's trying to collect or anything. I just got this number and only one person has it, so its not for me. Its most likely not for anyone who gets this message.

won't quit calling, even after I asked not to call

I get calls from a Salvador Preciado and Rueben Schwatz at different time of day and night. I want that ceased, I will get in touch with the Attorney Generals of Illinois and Texas.

He calls too early, and too late. He nevers says why he is calling. I will never answer the phone.

I have gotten this call numerous times. Don`t call me I won`t call you or answer the phone as I have caller ID and if you are afraid to leave you name show up I won`t answer. SO GET LOST AS----

He never asks for anyone specific, and always leaves the same message.  I have no idea who he is or what he wants, but I am not in the habit of returning calls to Telemarketers.  If he does indeed have business with me, or anyone else in my household, he should leave a business name, and the nature of his business.  The law in my state requires that debt collectors, identify their company and the nature of the call, without revealing the specifics of the case, also they are only allowed to call one time, in a 7 day period.  This idiot calls daily, and leaves the same message, daily.

I have been receiving calls from this number for weeks.  I have caller ID and if  you are not willing to have your name show up, I am not willing to answer your call.  This is some kind of scam.  They are trying to reach one of my children and how they got my name is beyond me.  But tonight I told them in no uncertain terms to NOT call my number a***n.  A Mrs. Williams was very rude.

I get 1 to 4 calls a week from this telemarketer - but today's at 12:15pm was modified. The print out is called '800 Services Inc' Now the message says:"Hello, This is Ruben Schwartz - there is an important matter to be discussed with you.  Press 1 to be connected or call 1 800-608-5429.  THIS IS NOT A SALES CALL.  There is an important matter to be discussed with you. This is Ruben Swartz."I have telephone ID and now when I see 800-608-5429  I briefly pick up the call and without saying anything, **** up a***n.  When I am not at home - of course my message service picks up.  ugh...I have never returned their call.....  but according to Andy above 17 Jan 2008The company is Leading Edge Recovery  ( a collection agency)

why is Ruben schwartz allowed to do this. someone should get a rope.

We are getting up to 15 calls a day, sometimes within an hour and we have told them numerous times to remove our number from the list. They keep asking for a Mary Kennedy.

I get a call almost everyday!! He leaves a message that says, "This is Ruben Schwartz. It is important that you call me at 1-800-608-5429". Thats all he says. He doesn't ask for anybody, say why he's calling or even what company he's calling from!

The company is Leading Edge Recovery. They are a collection company trying to collect. The way it works is that they buy up debt from other companies and try to collect based on the contact information they were provided. Unfortunately, it is very easy to give a fake phone number when applying for any type of credit line. All you have to do is 1)be patient, they are just as annoyed as you are, 2) call them up and tell them that you are not the person they are looking for, 3) hope it doesn't happen a***n...That said, it probably will happen a***n so you should just save the number in your phone as 'don't pick up' or 'collection company'. that way you at least will know who's calling when they do.These are the times we live in, it happens to a lot of people - which includes me.

Ditto...How do I put an end to this nuisance?

Calls every other day - it's an auto record message. I have tried repeatedly to get them to stop. They don't!
