This number keeps calling me and when I pick up, it's an IVR that says "Please press 1 to accept. Press 2 to send a voicemail." It repeats it only twice, and pretty quickly, so you have to be on the ball to choose an option. I'm not choosing 1, since I don't know what I'm agreeing to accept, but once I did try to leave a vm. I was told, "oops! your party has ***g up.", then the call disconnected immediately.I called the number back, and the IVR stated it was USBank and asked for an account number. I just hit #, since I don't and never have banked with them. I eventually got to a live rep who asked if I banked with them and I told her no and explained the reason for my call. She checked for my phone number and couldn't pull anything up, but quickly tried to rush me off the phone. When I asked her how I could have my number removed from their database, she stated she didn't know which department called so she couldn't help me, but then tried to rush me off a***n telling me to let them know if it kept happening (I thought that's what was doing...). I interrupted before she could **** up and asked her who I'm supposed to call if it did and she quickly rattled off another 800 number and a***n, rushed a ****py attempt at "have a nice day" and disconnected the call abruptly (guilty much?). Not even 10 minutes later, I got another call from the same number! Someone's getting *****y over there. I'm calling shenanigans.I do not believe these calls were actually from USBank. This smacks of fraud/scammery. For the record, my number has been registered with the National Do Not Call Registry since June of 2009. I would advise people not to give any identifying information to these people.
I have also tried to call this back but it is always busy... I know who it is though. It is US Bank, The only thing is i am deaf and have tried to call through relay and through my tdd and no answer or busy !! They call several times a day and just **** up. This has gone on for a month now. When I try to call the number back it gives a busy signal.
