I received a text message which stated that my Wells Fargo card had just been used. This was not true.

Recieved a phone call from this number****erting that I had a new Credit Card request from Dallas Texas. They had my information down to a tee. They claimed to stop the Fraud application but I had to talk to Experian Credit bureau to complete the stop. I was transfered to "Experian" and they proceeded to list all of my credit card balances. and then wanted to "confirm" my infomation. I ***g up at that time. This followed an almost identical call two days before. I called Wells Fargo and confirmed that I had no active request for iden***y and then called Experian and added an alert and Froze my Credit accounts. Beware these guys are slick.

I received a Wells Fargo Fraud Detection email by this woman claiming that I needed to review unusual activity on my card. THIS IS DEFINITELY A FRAUD.

Same here as others reviewers exactly. Then charged me $4,650 with my info.

Claimed to be Wells Fargo fraud protection and that I was charged $599 on Amazon and $1,200 on a plane ticket in 20 minutes.

This number has called 8x's already today. I called it back and they answered saying, "Welcome to Wells Fargo". I blocked the number but they keep trying to call! Grrr!

Not only calls but sends us unwanted mail!!!! WELLS FARGO OWNS WACHOVIA!!!! Terrible service!!!! Don't want their credit card!!!!

Answered the phone!! She said this is a courtesy call for c.c.!! I told her "no thank you" and to "please stop calling". Hope this works!!! They were calling 2 or 3 times a day!!!

They don't stop calling us!!!! Calls 2 or 3 times a day!!!! (Closed my acct. and now they don't leave me alone). We are on the DNC list. This has to stop. Tired of the phone ringing and it is telemarketer, charity, or survey!!!!

they kept calling everday 3 to 5 times a day asking fr sumone and we told they this isnt there number i spoke to supervisors and they said they would remove the number but they still call so we told them we were calling a lawyer and the police next time they called they havent called since.

Turns out it was a legit response to a (very) old question.

I CANNOT BELIEVE THERE IS A LONG LIST OF PEOPLE WITH SAME PROBLEM WITH SAME NUMBER!!!  I HAVE HAD TWO CALLS TONIGHT ALONE; MANY IN PAST.  I SIMPLY DON'T ANSWER.  FILING REPORT WITH ATTORNEY GENERAL.  THIS HAS TO STOP!! LUCKILY I AM MOVING OUT OF STATE SOON (WHEN SOMEONE FINALLY BUYS MY HOUSE!) AND I WILL HOPEFULLY BE SET FREE....... VERY DISCOURAGING....!!

This number has called 15 times so far today and left no message.  The calls seem to be set on an robo-call exactly every 20 minutes.  I am absolutely livid.

This number repeatedly calls our home phone number and will ask to speak with our college age daughter. Told them she wasn't available and I don't answer the phone when I see this number on Caller I.D. since. Warning....do not key in your personal card number if you call this number to see who it is! I want their calls to stop!

This is a ****up call that comes several times a day. We are plagued by these kinds of calls. I have slowed and stopped several of them thru the FCC. Anyone know this number. It always shows up as "Not Provided".

Male voice: called and he sounded like he was eating so****ing. My web search for this number showed that tbis is a Wells Fargo number. Wells Fargo, why are you hiring incompetents who don't know phone decorum? Don't you have like a sort of quality control ensuring your callers are properly briefed on phone courtesy?

I finally had it and answered the phone, they call every day and don't leave messages. The woman asked for my husband and I said "NO! take us off your call list", she said they would do it immediately and said that if I had any questions to cal 1-800-642-4720.

They call every day around the same time and do not leave a message.  If it's Wells Fargo as stated above, we have asked them before to stop calling us, we do not want any additional loans, credit cards or services.  We have asked them to stop calling and have not.

Having been called by this number almost every day and never figured out who called. Very frustrating. Never left a message on my answer ma****e.

They say their calling on behalf of Wells Fargo, can't trust anyone now a days.

Quit calling I will not answer

This number has been calling at least every other day lately, sometimes 2 or 3 times a day. They won't stop calling even after I turn my Wells Fargo Privacy settings to "no phone calls". I'm thinking it's a scam, possibly by someone who is somehow "s****ing" this wells fargo phone number.. Wish the feds or someone would bust them already.. It's really annoying.

All of a sudden this phone number keeps calling our home and won't leave a message. I did not authorize them (Wells Fargo) to call me to solicite their program to me.

I don't know who this caller is. My called ID says "Unavailable" so I do not answer and they leave no message. My phone number is unlisted and also part of the Do Not Call Registery. This needs to stop.

They claim to be "Wells Fargo" but caller ID shows "Toll Free" So BECAREFUL, never give out any information on the phone unless you have made the call to them.

This 800-642-4720 is the official Wells Fargo Customer Support number.  It is listed on their website and on my credit card bill.  This number showed up on my caller ID and the person said he was from Wells Fargo Bank.  He told me that because I was a "valued credit card customer" they wanted me to review information about a new concierge service.  Just for reviewing the information, he said, I could keep a coupon for $50 savings the next time I stayed in a hotel.  The cost of the program was $49.95 charged to my card as soon as I received the packet of information; however, I could cancel the service within 30 days a get a full refund.  It sounded legitimate and I almost went for it.  I thought I could get the info and coupon and cancel the minute I received the packet of info.  Then, he asked me to confirm some information.  He asked me to confirm my birth city.  ******ly.... and I mean very ******ly, I told him where I was born!!! ******, ******!!  As soon as I did that I realized that was huge a mistake and so I told him I was not interested after all and ***g up.  Then I called Wells Fargo at their 800 number to ask them if they had such a concierge service.  The Wells Fargo representative told me that they might have a partner company that could have called me offering this service, but, he did not know of any such service.  So there it is.  Lesson learned:  Never, ever give out personal information over the phone if you haven't called the number yourself.  This could have been a s****ed phone number or this could have been legitimate, I just don't know.  But a red flag for me is that you shouldn't need to tell anyone where you were born, just to receive some kind of information packet!  I certainly let my guard down.  Stay safe everyone!

We think. They ask for a name, Clara Miller, but say if it's not her to **** up, but we're not on, so it is very frustrating.
