Leave a CommentStrange scammer says they are Pnc bank
Got a letter in the mail, my name or address no where on it, saying our account was past due. How did this even get to my box?!? #spam
Called and played music and a message about calling back this number. I called and they claimed to be PNC bank. When I gave them my phone number they couldn't find any accounts for it. I told them not to call a***n.
WOW - I understand that a company has the right to collect past due monies owed. That is not what is at issue. I just s****ed getting calls. I in fact have spoken to PNC and told them that for the first time we would be late this month. Probably two weeks. I s****ed receiving CLC calls one day after the payment was due. Not past the grace period they say they give you on a loan but the day after, these calls have escalated to a high yes****ay of 36 ****ups. The only reason I know who they are is that I looked it up online. So CLC - if you are monitoring this, it is HARASSMENT to ring a customer 34 times in one day and NEVER leave a message saying who you are and why you are calling. I have now blocked the number.
I understand what you're saying, but what's the reasoning when you have no loan, mortgage, etc.? They call and it says Unknown. I answer and all I get is Let's Stay Together blasted in my ear, and then Thanks for holding, call this number, and plays the same music a***n, repeated, and they disconnect. So excuse me if I'm thinking it's a trap!
CLC consumer services is a loan/mortgage/home equity servicing company. They service a lot of banks like etrade and pnc. they are contracted to collect on PAST DUE ACCOUNTS. I know if someone is ringing my phone off the hook, i'm going to spend more than 5 minutes trying to figure out why, and NOT IGNORE THE PROBLEM lol. I got a call from them last month and the first thing after i said yes this is he was, "We are calling on a recorded line, and are calling about your home equity loan." First thing I thought was, I'm not behind on anything. Figured out my bank MAILS out my checks on my behalf when I made payments online and a payment was lost in the mail. FML. regardless, got it straightened out by TALKING TO THEM. IGNORING SO****ING DOESN'T MAKE IT GO AWAY! MAN UP AND SPEND MORE THAN 3 MINUTES TRYING TO FIGURE SO****ING OUT RATHER THAN QUEING UP ADMIRAL AKBAR AND SCREAMING, "ITS A TRAP!"
AMEN TO NO MORE BUSINESS WITH PNC BANK. THEY CALLED ME 51 TIMES IN 1 DAY OVER A $22.00 PAYMENT THAT HAD BEEN PAID THE DAY BEFORE. WHAT A BUNCH OF IDIOTS!!!!!!WE HAVE CANCELED OUR BUSINESS CHECKING AND PERSONAL CHECKING ACCOUNTS PLUS PAID OFF AND CLOSED ALL OF OUR OTHER BUSINESS.THEY WILL EVER GET ANOTHER PENNY FROM US
This number is CLC Services, claiming to be PNC Bank, which I found out after refusing to take their telemarketing-like calls. We are on the DO NOT CALL list and our policy is to automatically **** up for any auto dialers, which these people use. We also do not take any calls that block the caller ID or if the caller ID is unrecognizable. These people call incessantly -- at least ever other day. In my case, reason for the calls turned out to be legit, but the number of calls was outrageous. They absolutely would not leave a message. The phone just rang non-stop. Literally once per minute. I erroneously thought I had made my 48th and last car payment and after investigation with my online bill pay system (it was set up for auto pay), I found I had only made 47 payments. After confirming with my bank that I indeed owed one last payment, which took several days, I promptly made the payment via Bill Pay. That was Monday, and I confirmed the money was drafted from my account. Friday I took their call a***n. They claimed they still had not received the payment. My bank said they should have already had it. They noted the account and said they would call back on Monday if they still didn't have it. I politely said fine, and if that were the case, I would call my bank and put a tracer on it. Then they called a***n on Sunday. I asked why they were calling when they said they wouldn't call until Monday and the woman LIED to me and said it was Monday. Sorry honey. Tonight is the Superbowl. It's Sunday. Then she didn't want to let me speak to her supervisor. I informed her I had the number and would just call back and ask for the supervisor, so she transferred me. Guess what? The supervisor was not there. I can only guess because it was Sunday and not Monday. Our payments have been like clockwork -- drafted on the 3rd of every month and never late until this one last and final payment, which was due to an error in entering the correct end date into the Bill Pay system. The calls are far past what is reasonable and has moved into harassment. After this, I guarantee I will never do business with PNC bank a***n. I am considering filing a formal complaint.
So PNC isn't en***led to collect money owed them?
Caller has kept calling me saying they are from PNC bank and asked for my social security number, which I did not give to them. Then they called back and asked for my boyfriend and told me he must have an account with PNC Bank that I do not know about (ha, ha). I reported them to PNC Bank who verified with me that the call did not come from them.
THis 1-800-642-6323 number has called my home 42 times with in the last 3 hours-yes****ay. Today they have already called 21 times leaving an automated message. They have no reason to call and this is BS
**** pnc bank they all a bunch of crooks you supposed to save money when you put it in a bank not have it dissapeare then later be charged surcharges etc and late fees and other bu***hit...that number is from pnc back f*** em those ****roaches.......
I just posted on another similar website, but I came home to a blinking light and when I checked the called ID, it had 800-642-6323 and the name was "800 Service".When I checked the message, it was just clicking noises, then a ****up.I hope this matter doesn't escalate or I will be making some escalated calls of my own. If this is PNC, I'm surprised. I have not been a customer of theirs for many years now.
I just received three calls from this number within 10 minutes, which all ***g up when they reached my voice mail. Upon answering the fourth call, an automated voice asked me to input my zip code and the last four of my SS#. That's when I ***g up and called PNC directly, since I do have an account there. I was told the call was legitimately from the perosnal loan servicing department. In addition to the calls being harassing, I am truly astounded that any legitimate organization would call me and ask me to enter personal information via the keypad. In this day and age when everyone is encouraging consumers to safeguard their personal information, this practice of PNC should not be tolerated.
