Must be Verizon trying to collect but I'm current as usual.... Idiots!!

probably because they want to make sure your not lying....people dont realized how many people lie to collection agencies because they dont want to pay their bills...they talk to someone on their phone one day and the next day you say  its  the wrong number?!? debt collectors are not dumb, they listen to liars all day they just want to sort out the truth if you politely say you have the wrong number theyd be glad to remove the number....its that simple!

If they can't pay the bill it still makes no sense to call! It's really a waste of your time when someone actually tells you they're not going to pay and have no means of paying and you keep calling..Pretty dumb on your end. Just update your records and stop calling. You can't get blood out of a turnip! Obviously these people don't care about credit and if they had the money you probably still wouldn't get it! How ****** can you be? REALLY????

you idiots have been calling my cell phone for a year now over an old utility bill from 2003,,,,,they have already wrote that bill off on their taxes long ago , but now 7 years later you are calling me for it??? Im going to rack up another few bills much more than that and then file bankruptsy and all you bill collectors can kiss my back side.

well you need to call the people who owe you money a**hole! You just keep on calling this number of mine and ill keep on ignoring you until i get a new phone anyway. IDIOTS!

This is a pretty funny board. First and foremost you will be treated with respect if respect is shown. There are many ways to collect a debt i know this from years of collection as a collector and supervisor from first part to third party collections. I also know this from going from $100k a year to unemployed and devorced and being forced into garnishment and chapter 13 all while being under 30 years old. Being on both sides of the fence at the far (good and bad end). Does this make me special. Lets not forget what goes around does come around weather or not you deserve it. This is all about someone making a ton of money and we all know who that is. Lets not sit at the bottom or middle and punish each other. Find a way to pay and find a way to work with debtors. weather you agree or not there is always a fair solution when treating people with respect and meeting somewhere in the middle.

Send a verification of the debt, and we will talk.  Otherwise, keep racking up your telephone bills *****.

Just wanted to reply to classy collector.  I am sure you have bills you can't pay either.  And if you had any ***ins, you should know that you cannot call anyone at work if you have been told not to do so. If you keep calling, you are breaking the FDCPA rules and you are also harrassing.  Anything you have to say can be sent by mail verifying the debt, etc.  Some of you are just down right rude. And we too, hit the mute ****on and laugh at you.  In fact, we stay on the telephone line and don't **** up just to rack up your telephone bill.  You should send letters or else file your lawsuits. Not be harrassing.  And you are entertained.   And yes, we are cool.

just wanted to reply to you all, i have been a collector for 10 years and I make good money, i was able to buy my own house by the age of 21. I am proud to say i have a job, i pay my bills and i help people to fulfill their obligations to pay the bills they owe as well. I see no shame in what i do....at least i am not one of those people who sit around collecting welfare, child support, unemployment year after year while i sit on my **** drinking and smoking my welfare check away....ps: you are welcome for my tax money....If you have any ***ins you would know the FDCPA and how it regulates EVERYTHING collectors do...its is legal to call you at work, call you from 8-9pm a day, and even sue you if the client allows...garnish wages..etc.. So if you can afford it dont buy it, if you want a payment plan or settlement show some respect and the collector will work with you for a paymnt plan...if we call you day after day and we have a wrong number, how do we know that unless you tell us....?? no reason to freak out or cuss and swear....it just entertains us..we hit mute and sit and laugh at how dumb you sound...playing jokes from youtube...yep we heard them all...you are not as cool and creative as you think:-)

I have gotten at least three calls a week from this number for the past month, and they hardly ever leave a message.  I'm pretty sure they have the wrong number! The two messages I got were both for the same person, and it's not me.

This guy named emmitt michaels keep calling me from this number. Keeps asking for some shante robinson girl. I try telling him that he has the wrong number but he keeps running his mouth in spanish, for crying out loud!!! Me no comprendo, man!!!!!!

This is a collection agency. They have called all hours of the day between 8:00 AM and 9:00 PM, Monday thru Sa****ay. They have been calling for at least 6 months. I tell them each and every time that the person they ask for isn't at my number. I've gotten pretty salty with them a few times and told them not to call anymore, but they keep on. They must have a whole room full of callers because I've received calls from both genders and a wide variety of accents. They never identify themselves and never say why they're calling.

Called at 8:10a.m. today.  I never give out my cell to agencies.  They asked for someone who I don't even know.  Then they act like you are lying.  I told them to never call my number a***n.
